The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Managing the day to day operations of our clinic including stock management, people management and rostering, and maintaining client records;
- Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre-and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care;
- Leading and developing our team and building a positive team culture;
- Ensuring that monthly KPI’s are met;
- Driving our business forward through creating and implementing local marketing initiatives;
- Delivering outstanding service and care to all patients and owners;
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and expertise:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent;
- 3+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Nurse;
- Proven experience in team management, with strong leadership and team building skills, and the ability to provide coaching for team members and to build a positive culture in your team;
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong work ethic and the ability to show initiative;
- Good business acumen;
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills; and

We have 13 clinics across Western Australia all within less than an hour drive from Perth with a number of them scattered along the beautiful coast or with National Parks nearby for all of your outdoor activities!
Our clinics are collocated within our City Farmer stores allowing us to have great cross referral opportunities and the ability to offer our clients greater options for the ongoing care and support of their pets. Our purpose-built clinics are up-to-date and fully equipped with all the necessary facilities and equipment to provide gold standards of care.
Greencross is Australia’s largest integrated pet care provider with a network of retail stores (Petbarn and City Farmers), veterinary practices (Greencross Vets), animal hospitals and grooming salons across the country.
About you:
You are a compassionate Veterinarian professional with a minimum of 2 years’ experience including sole charge with strong leadership skills. You love working with teams that values accountability, learning and initiative and are looking for guaranteed work life balance in a supportive network.
To be successful in this role you will be:
- Confident in your ability to be sole charge and have a minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience
- Committed to providing gold standards of care to our clients and pets

Must be registered or be eligible for veterinary registration in Australia.

- Excellent phone manner, communication skills & customer service skills;
- An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures;
- Confidence in monitoring anaesthesia;

- Exceptional organisation skills.
