If yes, then join the Emergency and Critical Care team at Animal Referral Hospital Canberra and never have a dull day at work again!
Our ARH Canberra family is part of a well-established group of specialist and emergency veterinary hospitals. Our purpose-designed, state of the art hospital houses our specialty services, and a 24-hour emergency and critical care service. We uphold high clinical and professional standards which are driven by genuine care and compassion.
ARH Canberra is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, therefore our Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) team work a range of rotational shifts during evenings, weekends and public holidays. Working mostly outside of normal business hours means our ECC team receive penalty rates for the majority of their shifts…..penalty rates = more moula = a better life for your pet!
Our ECC nursing superstars thrive in a fast-paced, team environment and enjoy the humorous comradery this brings. They have a passion for delivering outstanding patient care and enjoy the incredibly diverse caseload and unpredictable nature of emergency and critical care. They have excellent communication, multi-tasking and time management skills. Just like you, many of our ECC team members have come from general practice veterinary backgrounds, and have now opened their hearts to emergency veterinary care.
You share the same values as our existing ECC nursing superstars – delivering outstanding patient care. The mundane and predictable life is not for you….you dream of a role where no 2 shifts are the same! You love working in an upbeat team environment and enjoy some good banter. You are organised, adaptable, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator. You are skilled at multitasking and comfortable working in a fast-paced role.
You possess a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and/or a Bachelor of Applied Science (Veterinary Technology) or equivalent. You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the veterinary industry post-qualification, and believe a role in emergency and critical care is your future! Let’s be honest, you are probably also a little nervous about the transition from general practice to ECC nursing…but don’t be! We’re one big family, all ‘living the dream’ together and working towards the same goal – providing the best care to animals and their human friends.
