Katie has loved all animals from a young age, having many different types of animals as a young child. Katie completed her Certificate III in Animal Studies in 2018 and plans on doing her Certificate IV in Vet Nursing in the future. Katie has an interest in surgical and especially dental procedures! At home you’ll find Katie with her lazy dog kelpie named Luna and spending time with her family.

Catherine Blew

Veterinary Nurse

Catherine has been an animal lover since a young age and always knew she wanted to be a veterinary nurse. She completed her certificate 3 in animal studies in 2020 and moved onto Certificate IV veterinary nursing in 2021 when she joined Greencross Ballarat. Catherine has a special interest in all things surgical and enjoys being hands on with the patients and assisting in their recovery, ensuring they are happy, healthy and ready to go home to their families again.
Catherine lives on her own hobby farm with her hand raised goats, cows, a myriad of chickens, her maremma dog Bentley and her much loved cats. Catherine fosters homeless cats and kittens for a local cat rescue in her spare time and ensures they find the purrfect forever homes!

Lakota Hallam

Lakota has been working as a veterinary nurse since 2019, she has recently made the move from Greencross Queensland to join our team here at Ballarat. She has had a passion for all animals since she was a young child, growing up on a farm.

Outside of work, Lakota enjoys travelling, cars, gardening and hanging out with her fur babies Diesel, Ben & Twitch!

Michelle Simmonds

Veterinary Nurse

Michelle has been working in the Veterinary industry on and off since leaving high school, she is a fully qualified Veterinary nurse who finds her career very rewarding. She finds job satisfaction not only in seeing everyone’s pets and interacting with the animals, but also because no two days are ever the same.

At home, Michelle has three beautiful children, and they own three horses, two dogs and two cats.

Tegan Morley

Veterinary Nurse

Tegan has been a vet nurse for over a decade, working with Greencross for most of that time, she holds a Certificate IV in Vet Nursing and a Diploma of Veterinary Nursing (general practice). At home you will find her playing with her Irish Setter Pretzel and human son River or stuck into a new arty project.
At the clinic she enjoys zipping around, busily supporting her team and being a friendly, calm comfort to our patients.

Jessica Farmer

Practice Manager & Veterinary Nurse

Jessica has loved all animals great and small since a young age, pursuing this after high school by completing a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience’s at Latrobe University. Jess has spent her career working in many fields including retail, ranching and zoo keeping but her passion is Vet Nursing. She undertook her Cert IV in Vet Nursing during her time with Stud Park Greencross and has now relocated to our clinic in Ballarat. Jess is mum to two Blue Heelers, an Appaloosa, a lorikeet, a team of chickens and a feisty goose! In her spare time Jess enjoys riding horses and taking pictures of animals.
