Meet The Team

Hannah Morrison

Hannah Morrison

I have always been passionate about pets, starting at Greencross Vets Aitkenvale as a school based trainee in 2012. I am currently completing a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing where I am able to explore all aspects of veterinary care including supporting veterinarians in medical and surgical procedures, general clinic operations and monitoring animals for post-medical procedures. When I’m not in the clinic, you will find me hanging out with my fur-babies including a dog called Lily and a cat called Coco.

I have lived in Townsville for over three years now and love being a part of this beautiful, sunny city! I started at Greencross Vets Aitkenvale as a Trainee in 2014 and now work in reception where I can greet our clients and their furry family members! I love working in the veterinary industry, particularly being able to see our patients nursed back to health. When I’m not in the clinic, you will find my partner and I spending time with our gorgeous dogs named Savannah and Bonnie.

Leah was born and grew up in Somerset (South West) England before graduating from Edinburgh University in 1997. After working in a rural practice for 5 years, Leah decided that a holiday was in order and spent 12 months working her way along the West Coast of Australia. Having enjoyed this experience immensely, Leah decided to make the move permanent in 2003 and has been living in Townsville ever since. Leah enjoys all aspects of Veterinary work but especially enjoys surgery, including stifle (knee) repairs, cutaneous reconstruction (skin grafting etc) and pocket pets ( rats, mice and guinea pigs). Outside of work Leah enjoys spending time with her cat Halley.

I grew up in a small town of Ayr and from a very young age I always wanted to work with animals. I started working in a Veterinary practice as a nurse when I left school and worked there for 8yrs full time and then 5 years part time. I moved to Townsville with my husband and two children and started working for a business that specialised in equine products. It was seven years later that I decided I wanted to come back to the where my passion, the veterinary industry.

Dr Jason Germain

I grew up in London and from a young age always loved animals. At school I excelled in science so it seemed only logical to combine my two loves and become a vet! I studied Veterinary Science at The Melbourne University. After graduating I worked in Mackay, then several locations in the UK and finally Townsville. I have extensive experience in medical case work up and also love soft tissue surgery. My interests lie not only in cats and dogs but birds, rats, mice and guinea pigs too. There are many things that I love about my job. Preventative medicine is vital and one of my strong passions. I also find it very rewarding to make sick pets well again. Nurturing staff and empowering their growth is another exciting part of my job. I regularly attend further education courses to ensure we are practicing the very best medicine and surgery. Outside of work I love spending time with family and friends. Townsville is a beautiful town with fantastic weather, excellent walking paths and natural attractions. Above all that though the friendly people are what I enjoy most!

Growing up I have always loved animals and have been surrounded by them my whole life. In 2015 I started my traineeship at Greencross Deeragun and completed by certificate II in Animal Studies by the end of 2016. I then had one year off from veterinary to complete my final year in school before starting again at Greencross Aitkenvale as a part time veterinary nurse. I enjoy coming to work as this industry is my passion and highly rewarding.
