Yes. Overseas-trained clinicians make up an important part of our network of more than 800 veterinary professionals nationwide. Our Recruitment team can facilitate the visa application process for the right professionals, with the support of qualified Migration Lawyers. Greencross will cover the visa application charges to ensure a smooth transition for you.

As an Emergency Specialist, I want to continue working in this area, but I’d like to pick up some General Practice work. Can Greencross support this?

Absolutely. We have a number of GP locations that are ideal for those transitioning from the Emergency and Specialist arena. We also have Emergency and Specialist vacancies available to clinicians interested in this space.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Caring, handling and cleaning all animals;
  • Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment;
  • Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care;
  • Performing minor procedures when required;
  • Delivering outstanding client care to all patients and owners;

  • Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email and over the phone;
  • Administration duties and associated tasks.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and expertise:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent;
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Nurse;
  • Excellent phone manner, communication skills & customer service skills;
  • An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures;
  • Confidence in monitoring anaesthesia;
  • A calm & friendly professional with a sense of humour;
  • An amazing ‘can do’, team player attitude.

It also has designated dog and cat wards in addition to the large prep area.

This role is seeking an experienced and high performing Veterinary Director to work in this high volume and profile clinic on the Gold Coast. Modern fast paced clinic with large client base.  Special interest in Medicine, Dentistry, Imaging & Surgery. The candidate will have a proven experience in a similar leadership role and will be passionate about professional development.
