Dr Caroline Butler
Dr Caroline Butler
I trained as a Veterinarian in Brisbane and graduated in 1995 and after a short 20-year stint working as a vet in Melbourne, I have seen the light and returned to the beautiful Gold Coast. I have been in small animal clinics for most of my 25-year career and love helping people have a strong bond with their animals by keeping them healthy in body and mind. I have done further training in Acupuncture, Diagnostic Imaging and have special interest in Geriatric medicine.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, take my boys for a swim or enjoy this amazing country with camping holidays. Wherever we go we are joined by our fur-baby ‘Red’, an 8-year-old, Toy Poodle who believes she is a princess.
I have always been around animals growing up, so it was an easy choice for me to go into veterinary nursing. Even after 33 years in the industry, I am still passionate about caring for animals and supporting their owners. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes Korah the German Shepherd and Andy the Chihuahua.
I began working with Greencross while I was completing my Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing, and have loved being part of such a fantastic team. I grew up in Malaysia and saw an incredible amount of stray dogs living in the streets. During this time in my childhood I decided I would dedicate my life to working with animals. My family relocated back to the Gold Coast 6 years ago and I am so lucky to be working in a field that I am so passionate about. My fur baby who is now 2 years old is a Labrador x Kelpie who loves water as much as I do and we spend our weekends on the beach and in our boat.
Jacinda joined the Greencross Vets team in over a decade ago, whilst studying her Certificate II in veterinary nursing. Since then she has developed her skills by completing her Certificate IV and completed a Bachelor Veterinary Technology at the University of Queensland. Jacinda went on to move to the Gold Coast and joined the Biggera Waters team in 2017 – needless to say she has not looked back. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horses Diablo, and being a mother to her child. Her fur family consists of, Mollie (Maltese dog), Paulie (Alexandrian Parrot) and Stevie (Lorikeet).
Loren has been a team leader at Greencross Vets Biggera Waters since 2013 and we are so proud to have her at our clinic. Her favourite part of her role as Practice Manager is that no two days are the same with each bringing a new challenge and endless personal fulfillment. It goes without saying that Loren’s infectious positive attitude means the whole team pride themselves on caring for your pets as if they were theirs.
At home she has three fur babies who she treats like royalty, ‘Rumples’ who thinks he looks just like that famous actor ‘Scooby’ and her two ragdolls ‘Gucci’ and ‘Fluffles’ both seniors now, who love nothing more than lounging in the sun all day. Her and her partner enjoy living on an acreage where they are known for taking in many rescue animals baby bush turkeys to peacocks, koalas and blue lounge lizards.
