Greencross Vets Box Hill offer a comprehensive range of professional veterinary services to cater for all your pet care needs utilising the latest diagnostic equipment.

Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

Puppy Pre-School

Grase Mutimer

Grase Mutimer

Grase is a familiar face to our Petbarn regulars and our newest face at Greencross Vets Box Hill as our Vet Nurse Intern! She has just begun her studies with us and is over the moon to be beginning her animal care career. Grase has grown up with animals of all shapes and sizes and is now a dog mama to her beautiful Staffy mix Missy Moo. Out of our clinic, you can find Grase listening to Dolly Parton and playing animal crossing.

Beau Grunfelder

Beau Grunfelder

Beau is our Senior Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV) and has been nursing for over 10 years, he previously worked at Greencross Vets North Ringwood and joined the team at Greencross Vets Box Hill in 2019. He is a well-loved and respected part of the Box Hill family because of his gregarious laugh and propensity to go above and beyond when it comes to helping a client and their pet. Beau is highly trained and proficient in all aspects of Veterinary Nursing and provides excellent patient care. He also enjoys training and seeing to the development of junior nurses/interns so they may reach their full potential. Beau has a special interest in providing the very best in client service and loves his aquarium fishes! He has a large aquarium with tropical, freshwater fishes at home and also looks after the aquariums in the clinic.

Bianca Austin

Bianca Austin

Bianca has been nursing for over 3 years and started her vet nursing career at an emergency equine hospital. Bianca joined the Box Hill team two years ago after transferring from the Bayswater Greencross clinic, and as our newest rising star nurse, you will find Bianca greeting you with her bright cheerful smile, whilst simultaneously juggling bookings and offering nutritional advice to our clients and their pets. Animals have always been a part of Bianca’s life, and being a true farm girl at heart, she has a menagerie of pets at home! Her extended fur family include her favourite competition horse Storm and her two favourite dogs Miika, a super cuddly German Short-Haired Pointer and her gentle-giant Rhodesian Ridgeback X companion named Diesel. On her days off you might find Bianca at an event with the horses, or on the tractor at her and her partner’s farm.

Dr Christine Hou

Dr Christine Hou

Dr Christine is a passionate and committed small animal clinician who has taken on the role of Veterinary Director at our Greencross Box Hill clinic in 2020. Graduating as Dux in 2004, she went on to complete her Veterinary Science degree at The University of Melbourne in 2009 and has been working as a small animal veterinarian in busy small animal practices in Melbourne. Dr Christine strives to offer the highest standards of care to her patients, and loves contributing to the happiness, health and well-being of animals and their fur-less parents through getting to know the unique needs of each family. Despite growing up in Melbourne, Dr Christine speaks both fluent English and Mandarin.

Dr Christine enjoys the challenges of internal medicine cases and takes great care with patient follow up and continuity of care. She also has a special interest in veterinary dermatology, geriatric medicine and orthopaedic Surgery. Since joining the Greencross Vets Box Hill team in 2018, she has enjoyed the opportunity to work with Guide Dog Victoria and loves helping gorgeous puppies become loyal working guide dogs and reach their full potential. Dr Christine is also a member of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA).
When she’s not working, Dr Christine enjoys playing the piano, ballroom dancing and tending to her rescue plants, in addition to spending quality time with her husband and toddler son Sebastian, who continues to amaze her every day. She also loves spoiling her fur babies, which include her smoochy rescue cat Leo and beautiful (but at times way too cheeky) Angie. Their cuddles and purrs remind her everyday why being a fur-parent is a privilege!

Dr Helen Clyne

Dr Helen Clyne

Dr Helen Clyne graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1990 with 1st class honours. In 1999 she gained membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in small animal medicine and in 2005 completed the Delta certificate four dog training instructors course. Helen has worked in many small animal practices in both Australia and England over the last 30 years and still loves her job. She aims to make your pet’s visit to the vet as stress free as possible and enjoys continuing education and providing high quality patient care. Her family includes a dog called Buddy, a cat called Furby and two cockatiels called Kevin and Misty, which have all had previous homes. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, cooking, reading, travelling, photography and keeping tropical fish.

Dr Ying Zheng

Dr Ying Zheng

Ying graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009. She began her career in a small animal practice in outer east Melbourne for seven years before she joined the teams at Greencross Ferntree Gully & Box Hill. She is interested in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery with a special interest in internal medicine. In her spare time, Ying enjoys relaxing and playing golf with her husband, seeking adventures with their daughter and of course cuddling their fur babies “Jessie” the cavoodle and “Bess Bess” their cheeky cat.

Hannah Stein

Hannah Stein

Hannah has been nursing for 11 years and has a passion for Canine Training and Rehabilitation. After completing her Degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience she is currently completing her her Veterinary Tech Degree. She owns three cats and two dogs and is excited to be building her first home!
