Although Greencross Vets is part of a national organisation our practice is run and managed by a team of dedicated vets, nurses and support staff who understand and value the bond between you and your pet. Dr Jairo Rivera
Dr Jairo Rivera
Dr. Rivera was born in Medellin, Colombia and completed his DVM at the University of Caldas. Following graduation, he completed 3 GradDip in Diagnostic Imaging (radiology, ultrasound, CT & MRI). Then he went to Spain and obtained his first PhD in Animal Surgery & Medicine at the University of Leon and was awarded Summa Cum Laude and patented a bone graft. Dr. Rivera also worked as A/professor of radiology, surgery and internal medicine for seven years and then made a career shift and moved to Australia. He completed another PhD in Microbiology & Marine Biology at James Cook University and a postdoc in pest control at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies and the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS). Jairo developed several methods to control Crown-of-thorns starfish and was awarded the JCU TropEco award for outstanding research. He received his ECFVG certification in 2017 and moved to the U.S. to work with Banfield. Dr. Rivera is our Veterinary Director at Greencross Vets and spends his free time traveling with his family, and loves underwater photography, diving and playing soccer
Hannah is a certificate 4 qualified veterinary nurse. She grew up on the Northern Beaches but found a love for animals whilst visiting her dad in South Africa whilst he was working with many different animals in films. She has a rescue Border collie x Kelpie dog called Maddie and 2 rescue cats called Kiki and Mewtwo who she can’t get enough of!
Dr Fiona Radovan

Graduating in 2010, Dr Fiona spent the next few years at a busy practise in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Whilst enjoying all aspects of general veterinary practice, Dr Fionas particular interests are in dentistry and animal behaviour, and has a certification in low stress animal handling.
Outside of work, Dr Fiona is an avid traveller, enjoys baking, bushwalking and watching films. She is also the proud owner of an adorable tortoise shell cat named Vivien.

Entering Sydney University Vet school after a stint in the Royal Australian Navy, Trudie realised her lifelong dream of becoming a vet when she graduated in 2006. While she began her career in a busy practice in Sydney’s Inner West, Trudie has worked on the Northern Beaches over the last few years practising as a locum to balance work and family. Trudie enjoys all aspects of clinical work, in particular internal medicine and developing client relationships. In her spare time she plays & coaches hockey, enjoys walking her dog and spending time with her young family.
Emily has been a nurse at Greencross Brookvale since 2015. She has completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies at Taronga Zoo’s Training Institute in 2013. Following this she completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Ultimo Tafe. Whilst doing her Veterinary Nurse course she started as a trainee at Brookvale and was soon hired as a nurse.She has a special interest in surgical nursing but loves all aspects of being a nurse and caring for her patients. She is currently a kitten foster carer for the RSPCA looking after kittens that are too young to be adopted yet. She is also Greencross Brookvale accredited mental health first aid officer. In her spare time she enjoys bush walks, baking and taking creative classes such a pottery.
Entering the Veterinary World at the age of 16, Jezamin has been a junior Veterinary nurse since 2013. Prior to starting at Greencross Vets Brookvale in 2017, she worked at the Ku-ring-gai clinic as an animal attendant and Receptionist. Jezamin Completed her Certificate 2 in animals studies in 2015 and is currently in the process of completing her Certificate IV in Vet nursing. Jezamin has two Dogs named Millie the beagle and Banjo the Pug x. In her spare time she enjoys physical activity, especially boxing, jogging and swimming at the beach.
Samm is a qualified Cert IV Veterinary Nurse and has been nursing at our Greencross Vets Brookvale Clinic for nearly 5 years.
Samm shares her home with her Dalmatian called Scoobie and a tabby cat caller Tiger. In her free time Sam enjoys taking Scoobie Doo on bush walks.
