Greencross Vets Burleigh Waters offer a comprehensive range of professional veterinary services to cater for all your pet care needs utilising the latest diagnostic equipment.

Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

Monica is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE Queensland and is dedicated to providing compassionate care to every patient she meets. She loves being part of the Greencross Burleigh Waters team, where every day brings something new and rewarding.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Monica watching the sunrise, hiking, or spending quality time with family and friends.

Veterinary Nurse

Nicola holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing & a Certificate III in Animal Care, with a strong passion for all things animal health & wellness. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and is always eager to continue learning and expanding her knowledge in the field.

At home, Nicola has her German Shepherd, Harley, & her rescue kitty, Archie, who keep life fun & full of love. Outside of work, she enjoys anything involving coffee, spending quality time with friends & family & traveling whenever she gets the chance.

Reception

Kaz has been part of the veterinary world for 20 years now, working in a variety of roles including veterinary nurse, receptionist & recruitment agent. Over the years, she’s been lucky to work in animal welfare clinics, alongside a mobile vet, in GP clinics, and in an emergency and critical care hospital. Kaz has a special interest in rescue dog psychology and acupuncture.

After previously working at Greencross Burleigh years ago, she’s returned to a reception role. At home, Kaz has Phoebe, a Rhodesian Ridgeback cross, and Freddy, her son’s rescued Greyhound, with another rescued greyhound to join the family soon.

Veterinarian

Dr. Brooke graduated from University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons) in 2025. Since graduating, she has developed a strong passion for all things small animals, enjoying the variety and problem-solving that comes with caring for pets at every stage of life.

Brooke particularly enjoys building trusting relationships with both pets and their owners. She believes in a compassionate approach which is key to helping families make the best decisions for their animals. Brooke is committed to continuing education and staying up to date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll usually find Brooke catching up with friends and family, relaxing at the beach, travelling or reading a good book. She also enjoys spending time with animals of all shapes and sizes and appreciates the special bond people share with their pets. She is looking forward to meeting the clientele at Burleigh Waters.

Veterinarian

Amy has always had a deep love for animals and a passion for learning. She began her studies at Griffith University where she completed a bachelor of science majoring in marine and wildlife biology and ecology, before going on to study veterinary science at James Cook University.

Her veterinary career began at a specialty hospital on the Gold Coast, where she spent two years working besides leading specialists in the industry. She then put that knowledge into practice at an emergency clinic in Toowoomba.
Amy has now returned to the Gold Coast after travelling Europe and working in London, where she spent three years gaining valuable international experience.

Dr Amy enjoys the challenge of complex medical cases and has completed several postgraduate courses, including advanced thoracic and abdominal imaging certificates through universities in Sydney and Melbourne. She now calls the Gold Coast home again and is glad to be reunited with her cat, Whisper.

Hayley began with our Greencross Burleigh Waters team in September 2024 as part of our Vet Nurse Internship program. She is currently completing her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing whilst also working as our receptionist.

Hayley is extremely passionate about caring for animals and is always excited to learn more about this amazing industry. Outside of work, Hayley loves spending time with her own pooch, Diesel, and being active in the gym or running.

Practice Manager

Nicole has been part of the veterinary industry since 2013 and joined our Burleigh Waters team in 2023, she has recently taken over the role as Practice Manager. She spent several years living, working, and travelling across Australia in her van with her beloved dog, Jordy. While Nicole now enjoys welcoming our wonderful clients and their pets at reception, she still regularly puts her veterinary nursing skills to good use when needed. Her calm presence and industry knowledge make her a valuable part of the team. An adventure lover at heart, Nicole is always up for a thrill, she’s even jumped off the highest bungee bridge in the world! She’s happiest outdoors, exploring new places, and planning her next travel experience!

Veterinarian

Maree initially worked as an RN at the beginning of her career. After a decade, her deep-seated love for pets and their people led her back to university, where she completed her veterinary degree at the University of Queensland in 2006.

In 2007, Maree and her family relocated to Oregon, where Maree gained diverse experience in various veterinary settings. She completed an Emergency and Critical Care internship at DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital in Portland. She then continued her veterinary work in emergency, general practice, and specialist hospitals, honing her skills and adapting to different challenges in the field.

Maree recognizes the value of communication in treatment success and is dedicated to continuously learning new skills and developing a more robust understanding of veterinary medicine and care.

This year, Maree and her family returned to the beautiful Gold Coast, bringing with them one perfect Labrador retriever, Bruce, and two gorgeous bonded cats, Albert and Ladybird. Maree loves walking on the beach with Bruce and spending time with her family and friends.

Veterinarian
Sarah grew up in the sunny city of Brisbane. She moved to Perth to study veterinary medicine and graduated from Murdoch University in 2011. She started working as GP in South Australia before transitioning to emergency medicine in Melbourne.

Looking for bigger adventures, she spent the next few years as an ER vet in the US, working with specialists and GP vets. After travelling around the USA and seeking warmer climate, Sarah returned to Australia and joined the team at Greencross Vets Burleigh Waters. She is looking forward to getting to know all the wonderful pets and owners on the Gold Coast.

Away from the clinic she likes traveling, reading, exploring the Gold Coast region and spending time with family and friends.

Veterinarian

Roxy graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2012 and spent the next seven years working in the USA alongside both GP’s and Specialists.
It was here she developed a special interest in soft tissue surgery and urgent care. Roxy has always loved animals and am passionate about their care from puppyhood to geriatric stages.
At home, she has an energetic Pointer, Tucker and a beautiful cat, Sally.

In 2017 Josie graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland. She have previously worked in Greencross clinics in NSW before joining the team at Burleigh Waters mid 2019.

Josie is passionate about small animal medicine and has been involved in international veterinary volunteer programs in Fiji, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Her goal is to provide the best care possible to allow owners to have a happy and healthy relationship with their furry creatures.

At home, she has a handsome German Shephard named Rocky and a cheeky rescued ginger cat named George. Away from the clinic she likes to go bushwalking, camping and spending time with friends and family.

Aruha has been part of our Burleigh team since 2022 after completing her Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at University of Queensland and Certificate II in Animal Studies. She has a strong passion for animals and is dedicated to providing quality care and service to each patient who comes through the door.

Outside of work you can find her eating out at cafes or lifting weights at the gym.

Veterinary Nurse

Jake is one of our clinics rising nurses, he has completed his Certificate III in Animal Studies at TAFE Qld in 2021. As Greencross Vets is in partnership with the TAFE of Queensland, Jake was the recipient of the Intern program and is currently completing his Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Jake’s passion for caring for your pet, is continually inspired by the bond he shares with his own dog, Benji the Groodle. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and is driven to maintain the highest standards of care.

Veterinary Nurse

Michelle became a nurse following the completion of her intern program with TAFE and Greencross Vets and now holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Michelle loves all aspects of nursing, particularly the nursing of our clinic’s hospital patients.

Outside of work, Michelle loves to travel and is always planning her next trip. At home she has a Labrador named Max and two cats, Nala and Tate.

Paige joined Greencross in 2024 at our beautiful Burleigh Waters clinic.

Paige is driven by ensuring your furry babies are happy and healthy and strives on continuous learning.
