I started by vet nursing career as a trainee at Greencross Vets Burleigh Waters throughout 2019. Before I knew it my dream had come true and I was offered a position as a Veterinary Nurse. Growing up I had two Jack Russell’s who were my best friends and began my passion for animals. I now have a Beagle X Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is my little bundle of happiness. I understand the wonderful impact animals can have on their owners and just how special furry friends can be. I am enjoying learning new skills every day and am looking forward to growing both my knowledge and passion.
I have a massive passion for the well-being of all animals both large and small! I graduated with a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2019 and consider myself to be in the best job and I work with such an amazing team! I started with Greencross Vets as a volunteer and then was employed in April 2019. On my days off you will find me spending time riding my horse Sultan and playing with my toy poodle Smudge!

With a passion and concern for all creatures great and small starting from an early age, my dream was always to become a Veterinarian.
Graduating from the University of Queensland in 2003, I began my career working in Northern NSW as a small/large animal Vet. This was a job that provided me with a solid foundation and valuable experience – especially in the area of out of hours emergency treatment.
My love of adventure and travel saw me head over to Northern India, where I worked as a volunteer vet for an animal charity that provided health/desexing programs for street dogs. This was a fabulous and eye-opening experience! From India I travelled to the UK. Working as a locum vet, I made my way around England – cementing my skills as a vet and gathering as much knowledge as I could (whilst taking every opportunity to travel Europe with time off!
Returning to family, I have called the Gold Coast my home for the last 14 years, continuing to work as a Small Animal Veterinarian.
Having recently joined the Greencross Vets Burleigh Waters team, I am really enjoying the opportunity to continue my passion of small animal internal medicine, emergency care and soft tissue surgery. I am a people person and really enjoy getting to know my patients AND their parents.
Outside of being a Vet, I am a wife and busy mum!
I first started my career as a volunteer with the fabulous team here at Burleigh Waters and after a short couple of months I was employed as a Veterinary Nurse. I consider myself extremely lucky to be working in such a rewarding industry and can’t wait to see what the future holds. I spent my early years growing up on a remote farm where I was fortunate enough to discover my love for all animals, big and small. I now live on the sunny Gold Coast with my energetic Kelpie, Milo and my loveable cat, Theodore.

In 2017 I graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland. I have previously worked in Greencross clinics in NSW before joining the team at Burleigh Waters mid 2019.
I am passionate about small animal medicine and have been involved in international veterinary volunteer programs in Fiji, South Africa and Sri Lanka. My goal is to provide the best care possible to allow owners to have a happy and healthy relationship with their furry creatures.
I have a handsome German Shephard named Rocky and a cheeky rescued ginger cat named George. On my time off I like to go bushwalking, camping and spending time with friends and family.
I am from the small country town of Glen Innes in New South Wales. I had many pets growing up and all I’ve ever wanted to do was care and look after animals.
I’m a qualified nurse with a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. I first started working at Greencross Vets as a student in 2017 and after 12 months, I was employed at the practice as a team member. I have a strong passion for all aspects of my job, its challenging yet also very rewarding. I look forward to making relationships with clients and their pets and working with such a passionate team.
Growing up with a variety of family pets, my passion for animals started from a young age. In 2010, I graduated from University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Applied Science (majoring in veterinary technology) and since then have been working in both general and emergency veterinary hospitals. I particularly enjoy the challenge of critical care and emergency nursing and love being able to help my patients in their time of need.
I am a proud owner of three spoilt chickens: Cluck Norris, Roxanne and Fifi.
Jodie has worked with Greencross as a Veterinary Receptionist for over 10 years and is proud to have developed strong relationships with our clients and their furry companions! She is well known for providing outstanding support to the vets and will always go the extra mile to ensure the greatest care for your pet. When she’s not working in the clinic, you will find her spoiling her two fur babies at home named Coda and Spot.
I’ve always been passionate about travelling and spent five years working overseas as a stewardess, where I explored new cities and had overseas adventures. However I missed the sunny shores of the Gold Coast and returned to pursue my other love, pets! I am passionate about preventative medicine and educating pet owners about how to be responsible. It’s a joy to come into work and take care of these furry family members and I look forward to getting my own pet soon!

Vet Director at Burleigh Waters – I started as a new graduate with Greencross Vets after graduating in 2014 from the University of Queensland. I have always had a keen interest in small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery but in particular I love the challenge of feline medicine. Prior to becoming a vet, I graduated with a Bachelor of Biotechnology with Honours and spent five years in the laboratory doing medical research. I have found my passion as a Veterinarian at Varsity Lakes and love helping owners maintain happy and healthy relationships with their pets! Originally from Canada, I love spending my weekends at the beach enjoying the sunshine with my husband. At home I have a menagerie of pets including my crazy rescued domestic shorthair Abbi, a flock of guinea fowl and a small herd of cattle.
