Dr. Giles Helbig BVSc (Hons)

Veterinarian

Giles graduated from the University of Sydney in 1997. She started her career in mixed practice in rural Victoria, before turning to small animal practice. She spent a few years working in Yorkshire in England before returning to Australia. Early in her career she discovered the delights of Emergency and Critical Care practice and has been working both in this field and small animal general practice since then. Giles lives with a whippet called Hugo who thinks he’s a cat, an angelic Burmese cat called Arlo, and Gaspard, another Burmese, aka kitchen terrorist, possibly the greediest cat who ever lived.

Caitlin Gray

Veterinary Nurse

Caitie joined the Greencross team as an intern in 2019, since then she completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and has worked her way up to head surgical nurse.
Caitie has always had a love for animals, big and small.
In her downtime she enjoys spending time with her friends and whilst being a fur aunt to the team’s beautiful babies.

Kirra Shannon

Junior Veterinary Nurse

Kirra recently joining the team at Cannon Hill after doing placement at another Greencross Vets clinic.
From a young age, Kirra has always had in interest in the animal industry and is loving working and learning in the Cannon Hill Clinic.
She has obtained her Certificate III in Animal Studies and will be continuing her studies to obtain her Certificate IV in Veterinary nursing.
Kirra is also a fur mother to two tortoiseshell cats, Poppy and Almond.

Andrea Loizou

Veterinarian

Andrea is a new graduate veterinarian who studied at the University of Queensland, Gatton. She joined the Greencross Vets family recently and is loving working at Cannon Hill and we are delighted she is in our team.
She is a pet mum to a tortoiseshell kitty named Bella and outside of the clinic, Andrea’s favourite hobbies are training jujitsu and going to the beach.

Clare Wheeler

Clare joined the Greencross family back in 2015 and has worked at a number of clinics but joined the Cannon Hill clinic in early 2019. Clare has a strong interest in education and training and shares her knowledge, tips and tricks in the Petbarn Cannon Hill Puppy Preschool Classes! In her spare time, Clare can be found spending time with her partner and their rescue dog, Tigger.

Georgia Madigan

Practice Manager/ Veterinary Nurse

Georgia has a Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing and has been in the industry for over 12 years, with three of those years at Greencross Vets Cannon hill over 3 years ago. She began at Greencross as a surgical nurse and with her hard work combined with the opportunities available was offered the role of Practice Manager.
Georgia has always been passionate about animals & owned a variety of different pets over the years. She is a fur mum to Hugo, her rescue cat and to Milo, a cheeky long-haired Weimaraner puppy.
