Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Veterinary Nurse

Kya qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2023 where she then worked in GP clinics around the Brisbane area. She has worked with cats, dogs and exotics, and has an interest in Surgical Nursing. At home, Kya lives at home with her partner and is a pet parent to three cats Kiki, Toto and Koko. In her spare time, she likes arts, crafts, painting and reading.

Veterinary Graduate

Dr So Jung graduated in 2024 from her Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland.
She completed a Medicine internship at Veterinary Specialist Services after graduating she has an interest in Internal Medicine
In her spare time, Dr So Jung likes to go swimming.

Zoe K

Practice Manager

Zoe studied her Certificate III and IV in 2018 and 2019 and has worked across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, spanning GP nursing, Emergency and ICU, Specialist and Practice Management. She has been a Practice Manager of GP Clinics for four years and has a keen interest in hospital nursing, as well as prioritising patient care and client communication.
She lives at home with her partner Sam, as well as their two tortoiseshell domestic shorthair cats, Rosie and Fig.

Veterinary Nurse

Guy has been a Qualified Veterinary Nurse since 2017 and has had an interest in surgical and hospital nursing.
He has worked in busy clinics around Brisbane and Logan. He lives with his eight year old Great Dane X, Willow and his partner Steph.
In his spare time he likes to go fishing and kayaking.

Adriana is a dedicated veterinary technician, recently qualified and deeply passionate about animal welfare. Her commitment extends beyond mere professional duty; she strives for stress-free pet visits and aims to provide exceptional care to every client she encounters. In her spare time Adriana enjoys spending time outdoors and learning to rock-climb.

Taylor

Taylor joined Greencross as an intern in 2022 and is now studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Taylor has a keen interest in surgery and anesthesia and is busy expanding her skills and knowledge via the Greencross Scholarship Program. In her spare moments, Taylor enjoys spending time with her dog Maxi exploring the outdoors.

Veterinarian

Dr Selwin is a passionate veterinarian with over 3 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Graduating from College of Veterinary Science Anand and also getting her USA equivalency veterinary licensure, Dr Selwin has dedicated her career to providing exceptional care to both pets and their owners.

Dr Selwin has a passion for surgery and believes in treating every animal as if they were her own. When not at the clinic Dr Selwin enjoys playing badminton, trying new cuisines and discovering all Brisbane has to offer.

Veterinary Director

Dr Ophelia is the new vet director at Greencross Cannon Hill. A 2015 graduate of the University of Queensland, she began her career in small animal practice on the Gold Coast, where she worked for 5 years before relocating to Brisbane to continue her focus on small animal care.

With a special interest in surgery, Dr Ophelia pursued further studies and achieved her Small Animal Surgery Membership in 2021. Her expertise lies in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and preventative care.

Outside of work Dr Ophelia enjoys cooking, hiking, beach volleyball, and squash. During her downtime she treasures quiet moments with her two beloved cats Moose and George.

Kirra S

Head Veterinary Nurse

Kirra joined the team at Cannon Hill after doing placement at another Greencross Vets clinic.
From a young age, Kirra has always had in interest in the animal industry and is loving working and learning in the Cannon Hill Clinic.
She has obtained her Certificate III in Animal Studies and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2025.
Kirra is also a fur mother to two tortoiseshell cats, Poppy and Almond and two Dachshunds, Fig and Chai.
