Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Veterinarian

Dr Maricia emigrated from South Africa with her son in 2026 and joined us here at Cleveland with a passion for compassionate, personalised veterinary care. She loves building strong relationships with both pets and their people, has a special soft spot for cats and is a skilled surgeon. Dr Maricia enjoys treating exotic pets and is always excited to have a visit from our more unique patients like birds, guinea pigs, rats and lizards.

Whether your pet has fur, feathers or scales, Dr Maricia is here to help them live their happiest, healthiest life!

Head Veterinary Nurse

Jasmine graduated with her Veterinary Technician qualification in 2020 and has had a passion for animal care from a young age, inspired by her mum, who was a veterinary nurse. Originally from New Zealand, she made the move to Australia in 2024 and has enjoyed continuing her career caring for pets and supporting their owners.

Although she now calls Australia home, her beloved cat, Mouse, is still living in New Zealand. Outside of work, Jasmine enjoys spending her weekends exploring the outdoors with her husband.

Veterinarian

Dr Liritia is a compassionate veterinarian who loves helping pets live their happiest, healthiest lives. Originally from South Africa, she completed her veterinary degree there before bringing her skills and passion for animal care to Australia.

With over 10 years of experience in small animal practice, Dr Liritia enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, from preventive healthcare and diagnostics to surgery and client education. She has a particular passion for soft tissue surgery and is dedicated to making every pet’s visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Dr Liritia believes that great veterinary care starts with building strong relationships with both pets and their people. She takes the time to get to know each patient and their family, ensuring every animal receives the personalised care they deserve.

Veterinary Nurse

Yvonne is a Certificate IV veterinary nurse who has always loved animals despite not growing up around them. Since graduating high school, she has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science with an Extended Major in Equine Science (2013) before coming back to study a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (2021).

She adopted her first pet in 2016 – Ajax, a Staffy x Shih Tzu – and her family has grown since. She also has a bluetongue skink, a Quarter Horse X, a cockatiel, another Staffy X and recently added 2 Barnvelder chickens to the family. In 2024, she welcomed her first child to the world and life has been much busier since then!

Yvonne is most happy being an all-rounder, whether she is out the back preparing and assisting with surgery, floating to help vets take bloods and run tests or doing some reception work. She also has experience in an emergency setting and has worked in a reproduction clinic.

In her free time, you will find Yvonne relaxing or gaming on her computer, spending time with her family and pets and participating in historical re-enactment events with her husband like the Abbey Medieval Festival that’s on every year in Caboolture.

Veterinary Nurse

Rhiannon has spent almost two decades working in various vet clinics throughout Brisbane, with experience as a practice manager dog groomering. At Greencross, she has a soft spot for our senior pets and is passionate about keeping them as comfortable as possible. This may be influenced by the fact that Rhiannon is a pet parent to two Golden Oldies herself- “Percy” a Greyhound and “Sally” a Staffy.

On the weekends you will most likely find her at the playground with her daughter or walking her fur kids down by the bay. Rhiannon is looking forward to getting to know our regular clients and meeting their much loved pets

Veterinarian

Dr Lara Brits has lived the majority of her life in the Redlands, and has practiced in both Australia and England over her 20+ year career. She finds purpose and meaning in her veterinary profession, and loves to work closely with owners to give their beloved pets the best life possible. She is particularly interested in geriatric medicine and soft tissue surgery.

With a keen interest in permaculture and photography, you will often find her out in her bushy productive garden photographing all kinds of creepy crawlies, flowers and fungi. She shares her life with her husband, a bunch of kids, a cat named Rupee, 3 fancy rats and 6 chickens.

Veterinary Nurse

Christine has always had a passion for animals growing up, so getting to work with them is a dream come true. After volunteering at an animal shelter during her studies, her passion for animal care guided her to a career in Veterinary Nursing. She joined the Greencross Cleveland team in early 2020, while at the clinic she graduated with her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Christine has interests in all areas of nursing, from theatre and patient care to the personal interactions with the clinics wonderful clientele.
Away from the clinic Christines interests consist of caring for her own pets. She has an old rescue dog named Rosie, two rescue cats; Esme and Archie and birds. Aside from her animals she enjoys acrylic painting in the outdoors, particularly pet portraits, playing with makeup and spending time with her friends and family.

Tahlia N

Practice manager

Tahlia has always had a love and passion for animals. She has two little Bichon X Poodles named Dexter and Charlie, and a Domestic Long Hair cat named Whitey. In her spare time you will find her out in the paddocks with her two horses, Barney and Cuba.
Tahlia started her vet nursing journey doing year 11 work experience. She was then accepted into a school-based traineeship studying Certificate 2 in Animal studies. After school she started small animal nursing part time, leading onto a position at Greencross Cleveland team from 2019. In October 2022 Tahlia accepted the Practice Manager position at Greencross Cleveland. She is passionate about her team’s culture and always striving for a positive environment which encourages learning and developing, whilst ensuring the best outcome for our clients and furry friends.
