Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Mia J

Veterinary Nurse

Mia is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences at La Trobe University, and a certificate in dog behaviour and training with aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. Passionate about animal health and welfare, Mia has a particular interest in exotic species, which is reflected in the diverse range of animals she cares for at home including a Cavoodle named Doug, various species of geckos, hopping mice, a rabbit named Rocket and a collection of fish.

Outside of her academic pursuits, Mia enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, reading and staying active at the gym.

Veterinary Nurse

Caiome is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and has gained hands on experience working on the farm with lambs. She has adored animals for as long as she can remember and is deeply passionate about ensuring every animal feels safe, loved and cared for.

Caiome takes pride in her gentle compassionate approach, always striving to create positive experiences for both patients and their families. She believes that animals bring so much joy into our lives, and she is dedicated to giving that love back through her work.

Outside of her studies, Caiome enjoys spending time with her guinea pig, Baxter and dreams of rescuing as many cats and dogs as possible when she moves out, continuing to surround herself with the animals she loves most.

Veterinary Nurse

Sophie grew up on a farm in Western Victoria, where she developed a strong passion caring for animals from a young age. She is now in her final semester of studying a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience at La Trobe University and plans to continue into Veterinary Medicine.

Sophie has gained experience in working with both large and small animals through her studies, placements and personal background, and she is eager to build on these skills in a clinical setting.

She enjoy learning about all aspects of animal health and is particularly interested in how preventative care and husbandry contribute to animal wellbeing. At home, Sophie has 2 dogs, Lucy and Ziggy, who reflect her love for animals and keep her busy outside of her studies.

Veterinarian

Dr. Yimei completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne. After graduation, she practiced in China before moving back to Melbourne in 2024. Yimei is committed to providing high-quality care and encouraging client education. She can speak English and Mandarin.

Yimei has a cat called Yuumi, named after her favourite character in League of Legends. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys playing video games and reading books.

Veterinarian

Dr. Harleen is a compassionate and dedicated small animal veterinarian with over 12 years of experience in providing high-quality care to pets. She studied in India and practiced in New Zealand before moving over to Melbourne in 2024. She is committed to building strong relationships with both pets and their owners. Dr. Harleen strives to ensure every animal receives personalised and compassionate care to support their health and well-being.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys reading books and hanging out  with friends and family.

Veterinary Director

Dr. Julian is Melbourne born and bred where he completed his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne. He is focused on providing the very best care in small animal medicine and surgery. Julian enjoys coming away from consults not only helping sick pets, but feeling like he has had a broader positive impact on the client-pet bond.

Julian has a cat called Maisy and a 56L tropical fish tank currently housing neon tetras and a tiger pleco. He also takes care of his brother’s dog, Larry the Groodle, from time to time. When he is not working, Julian enjoys running, watching and playing sports, live music and travelling.

Head Veterinary Nurse

Victoria started her journey with Greencross Vets as our Head Nurse in April 2022. Victoria has her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and has completed her fear free certification for stress-free pet handling.

Victoria takes pride in her gold-standards of patient care and furthering her relationships with her patients’ parents/owners. She adores all animals and wants all her patients to have a positive experience when coming to visit our clinic.

Whilst outside of work, Victoria enjoys cuddling with her two cats Yuki and Grey, fostering kittens and travelling.

Practice Manager

Mikayla has grown up with animals her whole life, ranging from dogs and cats to ducks and turtles. She has always had a love for animals and has grown up very close to the vet nursing field. She began working for Greencross Vets in 2022 as a Nurse and has worked her way to becoming a Practice Manager. She is passionate about patient welfare, as well as delivering fantastic customer service.

Mikayla has completed a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Human Resource Management and Management, and aims to work in HR in the future. In her free time, Mikayla loves to cook, make candles, and spend time with family and friends. She loves her German shepherd, Hachi, and Jack Russell x Beagle, Alvin. She hopes to adopt more pets in the future.

Veterinary Nurse

Veronica began at Greencross as a placement student in 2023. Her professionalism was evident and through this she was offered a position at the clinic as a veterinary nurse. Veronica has her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

She has loved being around animals ever since she was a little girl and has always dreamed of working in a veterinary clinic

Veterinary Nurse
Tayla started studying animals in 2013 completing her Certificate II in Animal Studies and Certificate III in Companion Animal Services. She has worked in different roles in animal care such as, Dog Walker, Doggy Daycare Attendant and Kennel Attendant.

Tayla has also completed her Certificate IV in Vet Nursing at Kangan Tafe. With six years of experience working with animals and over eight years’ experience in retail she is an asset to the team with great knowledge of animals and customer service.
