Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

Puppy Pre-School

Greencross Vets Puppy School is an excellent starting point for owners wanting a well-managed and socialised pet. Courses run for four to six weeks. Click to learn more.

Meet The Team

Dr Harry Chang

Dr Harry Chang

Veterinarian

Dr. Yur-Hao (Harry) Chang is a 2019 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduate from the University of Sydney. Harry has been working with Greencross Crown Street since 2020 where he completed the Greencross New Graduate Program. He enjoys seeing all the puppies and kittens that come through the door and has completed the Stress Free Pets Course for Veterinarians and the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic Certification Course. Harry is interested in cases of skin disease and is hoping to better alleviate the common skin problems we see in Australia.

His family live in New Zealand and are in charge of caring for his cat who he misses dearly.

Abi Waddington

Veterinarian

Dr Abi Waddington was born and grew up in Switzerland. Abi went to England to study, qualifying as a Veterinary Surgeon from the University of Nottingham in 2016.

Dr Abi worked in a veterinary hospital for three years in the UK before moving to Wollongong in 2019 in search of new challenges and more sun! Abi joined the team at Greencross Vets Crown Street as Veterinary Director, moving from the Greencross Vets Fairy Meadow location in February 2020. Dr Abi enjoys all aspects of being a GP vet and is working towards a Certificate in Internal Medicine. When not working, Abi enjoys running on the beach, bushwalking and playing rugby union at the University of Wollongong.

Jay joined our team starting as a work experience student and has recently graduated her Veterinary Nurse Certificate IV. She is looking forward to gaining more experience and develop her nursing skills. She is enthusiastic and friendly and can not wait to meet everyone and their pets at the hospital.

Maddison Krstevski

Veterinary Nurse

Maddison is a qualified Veterinary Nurse with seven years of experience in the industry. She joined the Crown Street team in 2018. She is extremely passionate about providing a quality service to clients and their pets. Professionally, the area that Maddison is most interested in is dentistry. This involves scaling and polishing teeth, taking dental radiographs and providing clients with information about maintaining good dental hygiene.
She is always looking to expand her knowledge through study and has completed courses such as ISFM Advanced Dentistry for Veterinary Nurses among other dentistry webinars, Stress Free Pets for Veterinary Nurses and ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic Accreditation. She is also the ISFM Cat Friendly Advocate for Crown Street and is currently completing her Diploma of General Practice Veterinary Nursing.

Maddison is also the loving owner of two Ragdoll cats, Phoenix and Pip as well as a Bearded Dragon named Stanley.

Practice Manager

Kylie joined the Crown Street team while completing her Veterinary Nursing Certificate IV and took up a permanent nursing position over as decade ago.

She feels very lucky to be working among amazing professionals and enjoys the challenge of balancing the needs of our clients, patients and team members. Her favourite aspect of the job is providing exceptional care to our patients and their humans.
When not at work, Kylie is kept busy by her young daughter and very demanding feline, Bella.

Veterinary Nurse

Sarah first joined Greencross Crown Street in 2014 whilst studying Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing. She was then employed as a qualified Veterinary Nurse before moving into the role of Practice Manager in 2020.
Sarah loves how varied her role is as a Veterinary Nurse and Manager. One day she will be doing admin in the office and the next she may be running an anaesthetic! She loves caring for patients and has a particular soft spot for senior pets. She also enjoys learning about all of the interesting medical cases the veterinary team are treating and taking time to catch up with clients and their pets out in the waiting area.
She has completed the Stress Free Pets for Veterinary Nurses course and ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic Accreditation course and appreciates that the team take a stress free approach to providing care to their patients.
Sarah has two rescue cats of her own, Dolly and Pablo who are her whole world even if they like to wake her up at 5am! She also lives with a much quieter turtle called Jamal and spends lots of time with her family dog Arnie.

Lucy Asher

Veterinarian

Lucy graduated from the University of Liverpool in the UK and moved to Australia two years ago in an attempt to escape the constant rain. Lucy enjoys all aspects of first opinion work, but puppy and kitten checks and surgery are particular favourites!
Lucy has a three legged cat called Harry who she sadly had to leave with family in the UK, but receives regular updates on him via Skype. Outside of work Lucy enjoys scuba diving in summer and skiing in winter.

Megan Blunden

Megan Blunden

Veterinary Nurse

Meg started her career with Greencross in 2017 as a work placement student and Animal Attendant. She was then hired as a Veterinary Nurse later that year after completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Meg has a senior nursing role at Crown Street and is also the Social Media Coordinator so she loves to share all of the interesting (and cute) patients that visit. She is passionate about nurse consulting and has assisted in empowering the nursing team to have more involvement in consultation.
Meg has completed the Stress Free Pets for Veterinary Nurses course, ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic Accreditation course, Hills Nurse Nutrition course and has previously taught puppy preschool classes.
At home Meg has two black rescue cats. Macie is great at doing tricks and will even play dead for her favourite treat, lettuce. Her little adopted brother Apollo loves to play fetch.
