Meet The Team

Alanna Brady

Alanna Brady

Veterinary Nurse

Alanna has lived in Townsville for five years, and is currently studying her Certificate IV in Vet Nursing. Her affection for animals grew from having a menagerie of pets as a kid! As an adult, she moved to Australia from Ireland and worked at wildlife parks, influencing her to choose to work with animals as a full time career. Beginning as a Greencross Vets as an intern through the internship program and went on to complete a Certificate II in Animals Studies. Alanna delights in the opportunity to work with different species, and experiencing something new every day. She also continues as to offer care to wildlife animals and will always have a special affection for Australian birds.

Serena Forrest

Serena Forrest

Veterinary nurse

In 2015, I started my Certificate II in Animal Studies and completed it in September 2016. Once I have finished my schooling, I aim to start my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing to become a fully qualified vet nurse. I started working at Greencross Vets part-time after completing my Certificate II. I enjoy caring for animals and love getting to play with puppies, kittens and save the world one animal at a time! I have lived in Townsville my whole life and love spending time playing sport and exploring the outdoors; while also enjoying spending time with my little fur-baby Flash (dog) and my large fur-baby Nutmeg (horse).

After spending lots of time as a part of the Greencross Vets team, I have discovered a passion for puppy preschool, emergencies, surgery and customer service as well as a newfound interest in cats which I was never expecting! As I continue my career, I want to not only develop my small animal nursing skills, but also branch out into large animals and wildlife somewhere in the future!
