She is excited to be back at work learning and refining her nursing skills. Her family, share their house with Bruce the Boxer, Bonnie the Great Dane Cross, 16-year-old cat Cassie and a scaly-breasted lorikeet, Tookie and let’s not forget the two guinea pigs, Spike and Jazz.
I’m one of the newest members to Greencross Family after moving up from Melbourne the end of 2015 and joining the GX Team March 2016…. At home, apart from family of the two-legged kind, my house is filled with lots of licks from my spoilt Boston Terrier Cricket and cat Sami and when not at work our family enjoys day trips discovering ‘the paradise’ we now call home.
Introducing our experienced and passionate puppy school trainer Linda, who has multiple qualifications including a Certificate 111 in Local Government Animal Management, Dog Obedience Trainers Association Certified Trainer, Certified Canine Myofunctional Therapist, The National College of Traditional Medicine, Victoria, Certificate IV in Small Business Management and Certificate in Human/Canine Relationships from the University of Queensland (Credit achieved). Linda has been working in the canine industry for over twenty years in multiple roles including animal management with the Cairns Regional Council, a mobile dog wash and the Cairns Canine Training School, which she has been running for over four years. She is passionate about education and teaching puppies (and their families) news skills in communication. Animals have always been an important part of her life and she worked with horses as a young girl spending ten years with a thoroughbred stud in NSW. She feels blessed to be able to spend her working days training and rehabilitating dogs. They are one of the most affectionate and forgiving companions and she enjoys being able to “speak” on their behalf when guiding owners along the road of happy dog ownership. In her spare time youll find Linda with her wonderful husband Guy, two beautiful children (Jarod and Lucy), two horses (Onyx and Shiloh) and three dogs (Racey, Elly and Bundy). She also works closely with North Queensland Animal Rescue and has a volunteer dog training program called “4 Paws on the Inside” operating weekly at the Lotus Glen Correctional Facility.
