Dr. Jennifer Whitney graduated in 2018 from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in the United States. She worked at a small animal clinic in Michigan until moving to Australia and joining Greencross Vets. She looks forward to exploring Western Australia and working with everyone there.
She enjoys every aspect of veterinary medicine, but has special interests in surgery and radiology. She grew up with labrador retrievers, but recently adopted an adorable dachshund/spaniel mix named Reggie. When not working, she enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee, going on hikes and reading novels.
Annie grew up in Kakadu with her parents who were the local Park Rangers. Annie has a passion for wildlife and was a qualified Zoologist, before starting her Veterinary Nursing course. She has experience in general, referral and emergency practice. She loves treating birds and reptiles and is currently fostering a possum family.
At Greencross Vets Earlville, Annie currently works with part-time and utilises her days off to learn and explore the rainforest of Port Douglas.
Jordan has lived in Cairns for over a decade with a pet by her side the whole time. During her youth her interest in animal was influenced by their ability to spread positivity to people around them, thus began her intrigue and passion into animal care.
Using the opportunities at Greencross Vets to her advantage, Jordan began her career as an intern with Greencross Vets and is now a part time veterinary nurse. She says “I get to fulfil my passion every day”. While working at the clinic she is proudly completing her Certificate VI in Veterinary Nursing. My interests include Japanese, watching cute cockatiel videos on Youtube and spending time with family.
Originally, Joseph (Joe) started with the Greencross Vets in Melbourne before escaping the cold and moving to Cairns with his family. Throughout his life Joe has always found support from animals and hopes to return this generosity by providing exceptional care to animals in who visit our clinic. In his free time he enjoys hiking and believes Cairns is the perfect setting for that. He hopes to one day travel Asia, supporting local animal charities and taking the path less travelled.
Nurse Kate has recently started with Greencross Vets Earlville team, after completing her Cert IV at TAFE Gold Coast. Kate has a passion for feline medicine and makes sure that all our patients are comfortable and feeling loved while in clinic. She has a cat named Dougal who she adopted after having him as a foster from 4 weeks old. Kate is a Cairns local and loves the tropics and getting outdoors.

Born in Belgium to a Belgian mother and Irish father, Andrea is a fluent French speaker with a passable level of Italian. As a child she moved every 3-4 years until her parents chose to settle temporarily in Melbourne in 2017, shaping Andrea’s multicultural experience of the world.
