Catherine was born and raised in Victoria, she grew up riding horses, motorbikes, and play with her older brother and younger sister. She met her husband in 2008 while she was studying a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences at Latrobe University. Catherine has always enjoyed being around animals and knew she wanted to work with them.
After completing her first degree in Victoria, she realised she also loved animal medicine, so made the decision to go back to university to study Veterinary Science.

In 2017, her and her husband relocated to Townsville to enable Catherine to begin her Veterinary Science degree at JCU: James Cook University.
When she is not caring for animals in the clinic, Catherine loves to go camping with friends and experiencing all the beautiful swimming spots around Townsville.

Following graduation, Naomi worked in Dalby for one year and then Toowoomba for five years before returning to Townsville to be closer to family. Johanna Haslberger

Johanna Haslberger

Veterinary Nurse

Johanna has lived in Townsville all her life, brought up around animals of all sizes, where her passion for animals started. Falling in love with animals at small age made her want to learn more about how she could care for them and understand their behaviours. She completed her school based traineeship in Animal Studies at Greencross Vets in 2017. Once she completed the traineeship she gained experience outside of Greencross Vets and re-entered the industry and our team in 2019. Johanna has now also completed Certificate IV in Vet Nursing, we are so proud of her.

In her spare time, you will find Johanna bonding with one of her many animals or enjoying spending time with her family and friends.

Carissa Faulkner

Veterinary Nurse

Growing up in the rural town of Barraba, NSW, where animals out numbered people, Carissa has always been surrounded by animals. Her favorite place to visit was her grandfathers’ farm where she could feed the pigs, cows, sheep, horses, ducks, chickens, ferrets and rabbits. Carissa first realised she wanted to work with animals after an unfortunate accident with her dog that followed with several visits to the local vets, she was fascinated with watching the progress of my dogs’ health. Her first job working with animals was at one of the largest RSPCA’s in the country in Melbourne, where she was enjoyed to no end being able to walk dogs, groom cats and socialise rabbits.

Having completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, she plans to continue her professional education and achieve a Certificate IV in captive animals.
