Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Laboratory Testing

The latest in-house laboratory equipment allows our vets to perform a range of diagnostic tests to achieve accurate, rapid diagnosis of your pets’ health status.

Johanna Haslberger

Johanna has lived in Townsville all her life, brought up around animals of all sizes, where her passion for animals started. Falling in love with animals at small age made her want to learn more! She then went on to completing her school based traineeship of Animal Studies at Greencross Vets in 2017. Now she has re-joined the team in 2019 and is so excited to be a part of the industry again! Johanna has now started her Certificate IV in Vet Nursing. In her spare time you will find Johanna bonding with one of her many animals or enjoying spending time with her family and friends.

Carissa Faulkner

Carissa Faulkner

Growing up in the rural town of Barraba NSW where animals out number people Carissa was surrounded by animals. Her favorite place to visit was her grandfathers’ farm where I could feed the pigs, cows, sheep, horses, ducks, chickens, ferrets and rabbits. Carissa first realised she wanted to work with animals after an unfortunate accident with her dog that followed with several visits to the local vets, she was fascinated with watching the progress of my dogs’ health. Her first job working with animals was at one of the largest RSPCA’s in the country in Melbourne. There she was walking dogs, grooming cats and socializing rabbits. Now that she have finished my certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, she plans to start her certificate IV in captive animals within the next year.

Belynda Henry

Belynda Henry

Growing up in Brisbane, Belynda lived on a property surrounded by all sorts of fur and feathered friends. She went to high school at an Agricultural school which ran a Cattle Showing team. Belynda was a part of the Show Team for 6 years and enjoyed caring for, grooming and parading cattle at many local shows and the Brisbane exhibition each year. This sparked her love for animals even further and decided to study to be a Veterinary Nurse. Whilst studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary nursing in 2016 Belynda carried out her work experience at Greencross Vets Silkstone where she worked for a few weeks before being asked to join their team. She completed her Certificate in Veterinary Nursing in 2017, gaining plenty of experience by working at a very busy clinic during this process. In 2018 she was offered to be trained as the clinic’s 2IC and found a new love for the business aspects of her role. In 2019 she became the Practice Manager of a brand new Co-location at Greencross Vets Ipswich. Belynda loved watching the business grow and flourish into a successful clinic.

Belynda moved to Townsville in May 2020 where she took over a Practice Manager position at this wonderful clinic. Belynda is very excited to meet everyone and receive plenty of cuddles from all pooches and kitties.

Taryn Lynch

Taryn Lynch

Veterinary nurse

I started working for Greencross Vets Annandale as a School-Based Trainee in October 2015 where I completed a Certificate II in Animal Studies, this commenced my career in the Veterinary industry. I was offered afternoon and weekend work after I completed my traineeship until I finished high school. Since then I have joined the team at Greencross Vets Fairfield where I have gained further valuable experience in veterinary nursing and client care. My passion for animals started very young where I decided I wanted to become a Vet at the ripe old age of 10. I was fascinated by animals and knew that wherever my future was headed, animals were going to be involved. My future plans are to study Medical Laboratory Science so that I can gain more experience in the the pathology side of the Veterinary industry. When not in the clinic, you can find me either studying or hanging out with friends.
