Born in Townsville, my love for animals started when I was young, growing up in a house full of dogs, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, birds – you name it we’ve had it! My passion for animals was boosted as I began my studies with Greencross Vets in October 2016, as a School Based Trainee, completing a Certificate II in Animal Studies. Following the completion of my Certificate, I was offered afternoon and some weekend shifts until I finished Year 12. My passion and love for animals great and small doesn’t stop once leaving the clinic, along with all my animals, I volunteer as a Wildlife Carer, caring for orphaned and injured possums until they can be released. When I’m not at work in the clinic you can find me spending time with my family, fur-babies and friends.

Dr. Annaliese Watson
I recently graduated from James Cook University here in Townsville and joined Greencross Vets. Growing up in Brisbane I knew I wanted to pursue a veterinary career and was very lucky to go into my degree straight after high school. As a child, I have always had a love of animals and have a drive to ensure they are cared for with love and respect. Outside of work I can be found attending local markets, dance classes and completing ‘impossible’ jigsaw puzzles. Along with finding lots of dogs to pat along the way. I have been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively internationally, due to my Italian and English heritage. My favourite places in the world being Venice, Italy and anything ‘Disney’.
Practice Manager and Veterinary Nurse
I began nursing in 2011 where I completed my Certificate II and joined the Greencross Vets Kelso team in 2012. I later completed my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2015. During this time I participated in the NQWC volunteer group to learn how to further aid in the care of wildlife that presented to the clinic, conducted puppy preschool classes and jumped at any opportunity to further continue my education.
At the beginning of 2017 I spent 18 months gaining experience working with large animals and in July 2018 returned to join the Greencross Vets Aitkenvale team. In September 2019 I moved to join the team at Greencross Vets Hyde Park.
I love being able to provide our patients with the best level of nursing care and support our community by helping to educate pet owners about vital preventative care. Outside of work I spend my time scuba diving, paddle boarding, participating in trail runs or going on hikes.
Born in Townsville, Madeline began her studies with Greencross Vets in late 2015 as a school-based trainee. Upon completion of her training she received a Certificate II in Animal Care and secured a position with Greencross Vets.
Madeline has a passion for all animals great and small and loves dedicating her time to ensure their wellbeing is priority. Along with her love for the pet health industry, she has recently started a small business with her friend making dog accessories.
I started working for Greencross Vets Annandale as a School-Based Trainee in October 2015 where I completed a Certificate II in Animal Studies, this commenced my career in the Veterinary industry. I was offered afternoon and weekend work after I completed my traineeship until I finished high school. Since then I have joined the team at Greencross Vets Fairfield where I have gained further valuable experience in veterinary nursing and client care. My passion for animals started very young where I decided I wanted to become a Vet at the ripe old age of 10. I was fascinated by animals and knew that wherever my future was headed, animals were going to be involved. My future plans are to study Medical Laboratory Science so that I can gain more experience in the the pathology side of the Veterinary industry. When not in the clinic, you can find me either studying or hanging out with friends.
