Welcome – Like you, we all love animals.
We love our pets and we understand the special part they play in every household – including ours. We are proud to say that our staff are gentle, caring, highly trained and experienced.
We care for a range of animal – dogs, cats, rabbits and birds… and guinea pigs, rats and mice!
Our primary goal and in-house training is focused on preventing problems – we aim to keep your pet “family member” happy and healthy from the earliest weeks to a ripe old age. We are setup for early detection of problems and for medical or surgical treatments as necessary.
Our team is dedicated to offering you and your pet the best in Veterinary care. We look forward to building a friendly relationship with you and your furry family member.
In addition to our veterinary work we offer boarding facilities for cats to enjoy so you can be stress free on holidays knowing your furry companion is in safe and caring hands. We also have a groomer in the team here at Greencross Glen Eira who will handle your dog in a gentle and compassionate way – and produce a stylish cut your dog can show off around the park.

Meet The Team
Laura always knew from a young age that she wanted a career caring for animals, however it was hard to choose which career path was for her, so she decided to study her certificate III in Animal Studies. After meeting many students working in veterinary practices she decided she wanted a role as a vet nurse and went on to complete her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing as well.
Outside of the clinic Laura has a love of cooking and perfecting her recipes and indulging in a good book. She regularly brings baked goods and books for the team.
Bella is a valued member of our vet nursing team at Greencross Vets Glen Eira. Bella started with us as a junior nurse in early February, after starting out her vet nurse journey as a volunteer with our friends at Greencross Vets Caulfield South. Much to their dismay, Kate saw the talent in Bella and “stole” her to join our clinic as a permanent team member. Bella has already completed her Cert II and Cert III in Animal Studies and is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Bella has been surrounded by animals her entire life and has taken to her career like a duck to water! Outside of work, Bella is really interested in health and wellbeing, and often spoils her colleagues with her healthy creations. Bella has just purchased a van, which she is hoping to slowly convert into a camper to cruise up and down the East coast, catching surf breaks along the way.
Ella started as a work experience student at Greencross Vets Glen Eira, she loved her time here so much that she stayed with us as a placement student so she could undertake her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Since starting her placement in 2017 she has absolutely blossomed in our clinic. She has become so good that when a vacancy came up recently, we didn’t think twice about hiring her for the job! Ella is multi-talented, when she is not in the vet clinic she is smashing it out on the cricket and football field, painting and drawing unique pieces of art and spending time her cheeky Airedale Terrier Lenny.
Dr Michael Righetti
Dr Michael Righetti
Dr Michael Righetti has a farming background (Greta in north eastern Victoria) and according to his late parents he didn’t contemplate any other occupation other than to be a Vet. His brother looked after the equipment and fencing on the farm, and he took care of the animals.
Dr Righetti has been caring for dogs, cats and other small animals for over 30 years and he’s still trying to convince his nurses that hes in his mid fourtys! And your pets are safe with Dr Righetti as a strict vegetarian he hasn’t eaten one for 30 years!!!!
Outside the Practice his loves are his wife and children,Molly the mutt (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel), golf, tennis, running (call that jogging!), the Melbourne Footy Club and outdoors (favorite areas Fraser Island and the Gibb River Road).
Dr Michael’s neurosis (or one of them!) in human and veterinary medicine is preventative medicine, and you will find this approach comes up all the time in managing patients.
Morna started with Greencross Vets in late in 2015. She has always had a love and passion for animals so decided to try a change in career and become a vet nurse.
Morna grew up in Scotland in a farm surrounded by all different species, as well as multiple pets including cats, dogs, guinea pigs and chinchillas. Morna has a Bull Terrier who was a rescue dog that joined her in 2015, not long after she started working for Greencross Vets.
In her spare time, Morna donates her time to helping animal rescue groups. She also loves all things arty, and loves to draw, knit and make pottery. Collecting plants is also a hobby and she likes to collect as many as she can fit in her house!
Morna absolutely loves her job and enjoy being able to help animals in need. She takes pride in her work and strives to do her best with everything in my career and workplace. Every patient that comes to our clinic deserves dedicated time and care, which she strives to make happen every day.
