Welcome to Greencross Vets Glen Eira
Welcome – Like you, we all love animals.
We love our pets and we understand the special part they play in every household – including ours. We are proud to say that our staff are gentle, caring, highly trained and experienced.
We care for a range of animal – dogs, cats, rabbits and birds… and guinea pigs, rats and mice!
Our primary goal and in-house training is focused on preventing problems – we aim to keep your pet “family member” happy and healthy from the earliest weeks to a ripe old age. We are setup for early detection of problems and for medical or surgical treatments as necessary.
Our team is dedicated to offering you and your pet the best in Veterinary care. We look forward to building a friendly relationship with you and your furry family member.
In addition to our veterinary work we offer boarding facilities for cats to enjoy so you can be stress free on holidays knowing your furry companion is in safe and caring hands. We also have a groomer in the team here at Greencross Glen Eira who will handle your dog in a gentle and compassionate way – and produce a stylish cut your dog can show off around the park.

Meet The Team
Like most in the field, Kate cannot remember a time that she didn’t want to work with animals. Kate started working in a vet clinic at age 16, and they couldn’t get rid of her! Kate worked as a Veterinary Nurse throughout the duration of her Bachelor of Science, where she focused on Zoology and Biology. Kate’s passion for animals has taken her to Thailand, volunteering in an elephant rehabilitation camp. Kate often finds herself with a menagerie of orphan misfit animals in her care, and has shared her home with pigs, ducks, owls, possums and a variety of cats and dogs. Outside of work Kate likes snowboarding, cooking, gardening and clocking over the kilometers with her gorgeous running partner, Taz the Kelpie. Not a fan of sitting still, Kate co-manages the Glen Eira & Caulfield South clinics, whilst pursuing further study in the Masters of Secondary Education
Cindy grew up in country NSW surrounded by animals such as horses, cattle, birds… the list goes on! She has always had a passion for animals and their care. Cindy started her nursing career later in life, as a placement student at Greencross Glen Eira at the end of 2015. She has not looked back since. Cindy has a real love for birds and big dogs, and is kept busy with her two rotties at home!
Dr Michael Righetti
Dr Michael Righetti
Dr Michael Righetti has a farming background (Greta in north eastern Victoria) and according to his late parents he didn’t contemplate any other occupation other than to be a Vet. His brother looked after the equipment and fencing on the farm, and he took care of the animals.
Dr Righetti has been caring for dogs, cats and other small animals for over 30 years and he’s still trying to convince his nurses that hes in his mid fourtys! And your pets are safe with Dr Righetti as a strict vegetarian he hasn’t eaten one for 30 years!!!!
Outside the Practice his loves are his wife and children,Molly the mutt (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel), golf, tennis, running (call that jogging!), the Melbourne Footy Club and outdoors (favorite areas Fraser Island and the Gibb River Road).
Dr Michael’s neurosis (or one of them!) in human and veterinary medicine is preventative medicine, and you will find this approach comes up all the time in managing patients.
