Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Frances Pensabene

Frances Pensabene

Veterinary Nurse

Frances (Fran), is a very enthusiastic and caring nurse who has a huge love for animals hence her significant fur family of Spencer, Gracie, Sooty and Gwendolyn (all pugs) and Romeo and Valentino (both Siberian cats).
Prior to joining our team, Fran worked in International Human Resources for over three decades before deciding to change careers to live out her dream as a proud veterinary nurse.

Veterinary Associate

Jill graduated from University of Sydney in 1990 and went straight into small animal practice at Kuringai Veterinary Hospital in North Turramurra. She soon realised that she loved surgery and was lucky to be accepted to do a residency in small animal surgery at Sydney University. She received her Masters Degree in Veterinary Clinical Studies in 1996 and using these newly acquired skills Jill worked as a locum veterinarian for 3 1/2 years in England and south Wales, including a 6 month stint working for the BBC’s “Animal Hospital” program set in a beautiful part of the country called “Aylesbury”. Jill returned to Australia in 2000 and has diverse GP and hospital experience across Sydney before joining the Greencross Vets team in 2013. Currently she splits between Kuringai and Chatswood Greencross and gained a lot of surgical experience working at these two hospitals. Professionally, Jill has also become very interested in ultrasonography and looks forward to seeing many interesting cases which she can diagnose with Hornsby’s ultrasound scanner.

Outside of the clinic, Jill loves to walk her beloved Samoyed “Isla”, watch her sons play football and read lots of good books.

Veterinary Director

Su Mi has been practicing as a small animal veterinarian since 2010 after graduating from Sydney University and joined Greencross Vets in 2013. She enjoys internal medicine and soft tissue surgery with a growing interest in diagnostic imaging and. She tries to make sure her patients receive best quality of care. She grew up in Korea and studied Public Administration / Politics in her previous degree, with experience in public relations. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and bush walking. Since moving to this leafy area Su Mi has developed her green thumb in the garden.
