Meet The Team
Shona is just beginning her vet nursing career and is currently undergoing studies in certificate IV. Despite being new to the industry, Shona has shown great dedication to not only our furry companions but also our native wildlife, through her volunteer work as a wildlife rescuer and career.
Shona is looking forward to the challenge of being the best vet nurse she can be.
Rachael graduated from the University of Melbourne and has been with Greencross since 2016. She joined the team at Hurstbridge in 2018 and has enjoyed getting to know the clients and all their wonderful pets. She has a special interest in behavioral medicine, and particularly enjoys surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and music, and is an active member in her local choir. She has two cats, fish and a dog. Her dog, Oliver, can frequently be found behind the reception desk at the clinic greeting clients with a friendly smile!
Karina has been a member of Greencross Vets since 2007, and attained her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2009.
Karina has a special interest in radiology and loves looking at the fine images produced by our digital x-ray machine. Karina also enjoys working at reception and interacting with all our clients and patients. She ensures that all of our patients get everything they need with no exceptions. She loves knowing that we make a difference in the health of all patients under our care and is always helpful with advice and information.
Karina’s family includes husband Steven, son Riley, Daughter Kaylee and Brittany Spaniel Loki, who is full of beans.
Karina enjoys swimming, gardening and going camping with family.
Monica graduated with her Associates Degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2019. She enjoys every part of the job from greeting patients as they come through the door, to being beside them when recovering from an anesthetic. She believes that being a nurse you have to be brave and positive and show love towards every animal no matter how hard the job gets.
Monica owns a black and white Border Collie named Xena and a Murray River Short Neck turtle named Chip. She hopes to adopt more pets when she moves into her own house with her partner.
Animals are a passion of mine and I am delighted to have been in a great team and organisation for the last five years, who all share my passion. I have completed my certificate III in Animal studies and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. In my spare time I enjoy going away camping, heading to the football and catching with family and friends
