Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound is a painless diagnostic procedure that allows vets to take a closer look at your pet’s health. We only use the latest technology for the most accurate diagnoses.

X-ray/Radiology

Greencross Vets clinics are equipped with high-quality radiograph equipment including X-ray machines, automatic processors, and X-ray view equipment.

Laboratory Testing

The latest in-house laboratory equipment allows our vets to perform a range of diagnostic tests to achieve accurate, rapid diagnosis of your pets’ health status.

Meet The Team

Dr Ben Schuster

Dr Ben Schuster

Being born in Toowoomba and growing up in Maryborough QLD, I’ve had a lot of experience in smaller, more personal vet clinics, so I feel right at home here at the Wishart Road clinic. After moving from Maryborough to Townsville to study a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at James Cook University it felt like coming to the big smoke, but I now realise that’s not quite the case. Brisbane truly is a sprawling metropolis, and presents plenty of opportunities to further my career in veterinary science, particularly with a focus on avian medicine, Australian native wildlife, and other exotics. My other interests include birdwatching, collecting modern and retro video games, and playing the guitar and mandolin. No pets at the moment, unfortunately, but one day I hope to own many parrots!

Dr Joshua Llinas

Dr Joshua Llinas

Dr Josh moved over to Australia in 1999 after completing an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biochemistry. His passion for veterinary medicine started with his first job as a veterinary assistant when he was 12 and continued through with his work as a veterinary nurse going through university in the US and Australia. He completed his veterinary science degree at the University of Queensland in 2005 and his Masters in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery through Murdoch in 2009. His interests include internal medicine with special interests in pathology and imaging. He also has a large interest in our smaller pets including birds, rodents and reptiles. When not at the clinic he spends time rock climbing, fishing and kayaking. Josh lives with his wife and two cats Bumble and Diego. He is currently studying for his Memberships in Feline Medicine through the Australian Veterinary Association.

Every day is completely different, and I really enjoy handling exotic species such as snakes, lizards and turtles. I also have quiet the interest in dental health; I perform free Dental checks regularly at Greencross vets Jindalee. I have three pets, Gracie my Dalmatian, Kira my Cattle dog and Princess Sophie my miniature Chihuahua who is more like my child rather than a dog
