Savannah joined our team in 2021 to start her Vet Nursing career with our Greencross internship program studying her Certificate II in Animal Studies. Savannah has always been wanting to work in a career with animals and found the internship program a great foot in the door. Savannah now is undergoing her studies to be a qualified Certificate IV veterinary nurse. She is very eager to learn new skills especially in surgery, helping monitor patients during their procedures and giving extra love during their recovery. She has a love for all animals, especially staffy’s and will always be up for a cuddle. Outside of work there’s only one place you’ll find her and that’s at the beach.
Originally from the Spain, Ana has spent the last two decades working as a small animal vet in the UK and Australia and after a long period in the UK, she’s happy to call Australia home again.
After fiveyears in the exciting and challenging world of Emergency and Critical Care, she recently decided to go back to her origins as a general practitioner and is really enjoying seeing cute healthy, happy puppies and kittens again. Her main interest as a veterinarian is Internal Medicine and management of hospital cases.
To Ana communication with the patient’s parents is paramount and will always strive to offer all possible options, from “gold standard” to more affordable options, so that the owner can make an informed decision but never compromising the animal’s wellbeing.
In her personal life Ana is mum to two tabby cats: Maui and Byron, Brissie, a little Jack Russell Terrier Cross who, although British by birth, wonders why the family didn’t come over to Australia sooner! She loves the Sunshine Coast doggy lifestyle: going to the beach, the lake, the sunny warm weather.
When she is iot Ana enjoys travelling, being out in nature, writing, painting and different types of crafts, she also loves coffee, especially if in the company of friends and as a true Spaniard never says no to good food and wine.
Head Veterinary Nurse
Our head nurse Mikayla has been working with Greencross since 2019 after starting her certificate 3 in animal studies and completing her placement with us, she then continued on with her Certificate 4 in Vet Nursing.
Mikayla loves working closely with our Hospital and Surgery patients to ensure they are getting the very best of care while staying with us. She loves helping all of our furry patients get back to their fun, happy selves again after needing some time in hospital.
In her spare time you can find her at the beach or camping with her two border collies Sadie and Billie.
Ever since Jade can remember she has always wanted to work with animals. Her purpose is to help others in need and after studying Psychology for just under two years she felt something was missing. She initially volunteered at the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge to get some basic experience and to care for the surrendered animals which she really enjoyed. She then decided to switch up careers and joined our team in 2020 to start her Vet Nursing career with our Greencross internship program studying her Certificate II in Animal Studies. She has now found a love for creating a rapport and relationship with our clients and is now our main receptionist. Her dream dog is a Golden Retriever so if you own one, she will without a doubt make time for cuddles! In her free time, you will find her at the beach, going on walks or road tripping in her van.
