I have always been passionate about pets since I was very young. Growing up I had quite a few cats, dogs and fish. I loved looking after them and spending time with all them. This led me to pursue a career in the Veterinary industry.
I am originally from Sri Lanka and moved to Australia in Grade 4. I attended Kenmore State high School and then went on to James Cook University, in Townsville, to pursue a Veterinary Science Degree. During the degree I developed a keen interest in birds and pocket pets. I graduated in 2017 and came back to Kenmore to start my professional career. I currently have a lovely little Tortoiseshell cat named Sasha and a variety of fish.
Kaye completed a Bachelor in Applied Science majoring in Wildlife Science in 2010, before heading off to live and work overseas in the United Kingdom. She returned in 2015 and completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She gained fulltime employment with Greencross after finishing her student work placement with the clinic. Kaye is a proud owner of two Great Dane crosses (Karma and Duke) and a rescue cat named Marley.

I have always been passionate about providing the highest standards of healthcare, beginning my career as a registered nurse at the Mater Hospital. However having grown up with a large family of dogs, cats and birds I have also been very passionate about pets! I have extensive experience in the veterinary industry spanning over fifteen years. After graduating with 1st Class Honours in Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland, I worked in a number of small animal practices throughout Brisbane. I love learning new skills and have a special interest in internal medicine, cardiology, gerontology and feline medicine. There’s nothing more rewarding than being able to help a patient improve their health and wellbeing and our Kenmore team love the long-term relationships that were able to form with clients. When I’m not in the clinic, you will find me spending time with my family and our handsome (and overly excited) Labrador named Humphrey! I also enjoy gardening, reading and participating in local community events, particularly raising the profile of our Western Suburbs Koala population.
