Desexing
Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.
Vaccinations
Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.
Heartworm Prevention
Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.
Dentistry
Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.
Ultrasound
An ultrasound is a painless diagnostic procedure that allows vets to take a closer look at your pet’s health. We only use the latest technology for the most accurate diagnoses.
X-ray/Radiology
Greencross Vets clinics are equipped with high-quality radiograph equipment including X-ray machines, automatic processors, and X-ray view equipment.
Clinical Pathology
Clinical pathology allows our vets to analyse and diagnose health conditions. Common laboratory tests include blood tests, urinalysis, faecal tests and biopsy examination.
Laboratory Testing

Shannon Tyas is fully qualified with a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Shannon began working at Greencross Kippa-ring in 2024. She thrives in surgical nursing and particularly enjoys taking blood samples and contributing to diagnostics. She has a deep passion for animal care and is eager to learn and grow in her field. Outside of work, Shannon shares her life with her beloved Great Dane mix, Moose, who is just a big goofy giant and often hogs the bed.

Shannen Duffield is a qualified veterinary nurse who completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2022. Since then, she has been working at Greencross Vets, where she continues to develop her skills and deepen her passion for animal care. Shannen has a strong interest in pathology collection, hospital care, and general practice nursing. She is particularly fond of Chihuahuas and cats, and takes pride in providing compassionate, high-quality care to every patient she meets.

After gaining her qualifications in Veterinary Nursing, Samanther began her career working at an independent veterinary practice before starting at Greencross Kippa-Ring in 2016 where she has continued to grow professionally and personally.
Samanther has built lasting friendships with her colleagues and takes pride in the skills she’s refined during her time in practice. She has a particular passion for surgical nursing and finds fulfilment in being part of a team that delivers high-quality care. A dedicated feline fan, she has a soft spot for cats—especially the cranky ones—and takes extra care in helping them feel calm and safe during their visits.
When she’s not at work, Samanther enjoys spending time with her family—usually outdoors, helping burn off her toddler’s endless energy—and winding down at home with their beloved senior cat, Benny.

Natalie Ash is a qualified veterinary nurse with a strong passion for animal health and well-being. She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to every patient she sees. Natalie thrives in a team environment and values being part of the difference made each day at Greencross. Outside the clinic, she enjoys relaxing with her beloved fur children and unwinding with a good gaming session.

Dr Emma graduated from the University of Queensland Veterinary School with Honors in 2009 and with a passion for companion animals she started her career at Kippa-Ring Veterinary clinic. She enjoyed working with the team of people so much that she remains a member of that same team today! Emma has a special interest in diagnostic imaging (ultrasound) and enjoys consulting and medical case management.
Before going to University to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a Vet, Emma had studied and worked in the human medical fields of Biomedical science including molecular genetics and microbiology/ virology.
At home with her husband, Emma has two young sons, and a furbaby Groodle named “Pax”. She is also kept busy with her kids’ hobbies and her own which include keeping fit, art, learning French, travelling, and furthering her vet studies, so her hands are kept quite full which is just the way she likes it!

Madi began her journey in Veterinary Medicine in 2021 and joined the Kippa Ring team in 2024. With a deep passion for animal care, she is especially committed to creating a fear-free experience for every pet that walks through the door. Madi also has a strong interest in cardiology and loves expanding her knowledge in this area to better support her patients’ heart health.
Outside of work, you’ll find Madi reading, exploring nature on a good hike, or spending time with her two gorgeous cats, Nug and Atti, who keep her entertained and inspired every day.

Maddie Packard is a dedicated veterinary nurse completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (2025). She joined the team at Greencross Vets Kippa-Ring in 2024, where she brings compassion, focus, and a strong commitment to animal care. Maddie has a special soft spot for Rottweilers and enjoys building trust with every patient she meets—especially the big, loyal ones.

Grace Holehouse graduated from TAFE Qld in 2022. Grace has always wanted to become a veterinary nurse to better all animals’ lives and be their voice.
Grace Holehouse started her veterinary career in January 2023 at Kallangur Veterinary Surgery and then became a part of Greencross Vets Kippa-Ring in August 2023. Grace Holehouse has completed her Certificate II and Certificate III in Veterinary Nursing and a Certificate III in Hospitality. Grace Holehouse loves all aspects of her job, especially when it’s learning something new and exciting. She strives to be the best she can when at work. When she’s not working, you’ll find her preparing to become a first-time parent, and spending time with family & friends

Dr. Angelika is a dedicated veterinarian committed to providing high-quality care and building lasting relationships with pets and their families. She earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) degree from the University of Queensland and has special interests in preventative care and dermatology. Angelika joined the Greencross team in early 2025.
Outside the clinic, Angelika enjoys reading, sipping iced matcha and spending time with her own pets, Ziggy and Jesse.

Dr Tanya joined Greencross Kippa Ring on the New Graduate Program in 2024 after completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Murdoch University in Perth. Her primary interests lie in anesthesia, intraoperative and postoperative pain relief, and ultrasonography. She is enthusiastic about pursuing additional training to deepen her expertise in these fields and enhance the care she provides to her patients.
At Greencross Kippa Ring, Tanya thrives in a dynamic environment alongside a team of skilled veterinarians and nurses. The fast-paced nature of the clinic has been invaluable to her professional growth, helping her to hone her skills and gain hands-on experience in a variety of veterinary disciplines, including surgery, dentistry and working up complex medical cases.
Outside of her career, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and indulging in her love for baking. One of her future aspirations is to adopt a greyhound, a breed she’s grown particularly fond of. She has no pets of her own but has had the wonderful honour of always living with people that have fur babies of their own. Tanya’s compassionate nature and dedication to her work reflect her commitment to improving her skills and continuing to learn throughout her career.

Dr Paige Houghton has called Redcliffe home her entire life. She graduate from the University of Queensland in 2017 and began her career shortly after with Greencross Vets in Kippa-Ring. Since then, she has also spent some time working at the North Lakes clinic.
In 2018, Dr Paige volunteered in Fiji, performing surgeries on dogs and cats as part of a program aimed at helping the local community while supporting surgical skills development.
Committed to continuous learning, she completed a General Practice Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2024 and is currently undertaking a communication and leadership program through the Lincoln Institute, due for completion in 2026.
Dr Paige values building strong, trust-based relationships with clients, centered on the shared goal of providing the best care for their pets.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys quiet days spent reading and visiting local coffee spots with her husband.

Dr Ern Huang is a Brisbane local who graduated from the University of Queensland in 2022 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours). In 2023, Ern joined Greencross, where he currently works across the North Lakes and Kippa-Ring sites.
With a strong interest in small animal medicine, Ern enjoys both diagnosing and treating illnesses, as well as performing general surgeries. Ern is passionate about providing comprehensive care that helps pets lead healthier lives.
Outside of the clinic, Ern is an amateur rock climber, enjoying both indoor and outdoor climbing as a way to stay active and unwind.

Brooke is a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Nurse who completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2024. While still completing her studies, she joined Greencross Vets, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Outside of work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family pets, buying new plants to add to her growing indoor jungle, and exploring new cafes with her fiancée.
As she begins her career in the veterinary industry, Brooke is excited to continue learning, growing, and building her skills everyday. She looks forward to growing within the veterinary industry while making a positive impact on the lives of animals and their owners.”

Olivia Hambling joined Greencross in August 2024 and works across both the North Lakes and Kippa Ring clinics. With a Certificate II in Animal Studies and her Certificate III nearly complete, she’s preparing to begin her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Olivia is passionate about creating fear-free experiences for animals and supporting clients through every stage of their pet’s journey. She has a strong interest in nutrition, rehabilitation, and orthopaedics.
Outside of work, she shares her life with a senior dog and cat, and is training for bodybuilding competitions.

Senior Receptionist
Simone is the Senior Receptionist at Greencross Vets Kippa Ring and has been part of the team since 2021. She holds a Certificate III in Animal Studies (2000) and brings extensive experience in medical reception, payroll, finance, and administration from her background in human healthcare. Simone plays a key role in coordinating student placements within the clinic and has a strong interest in workplace health and safety. Known for her efficiency, professionalism, and supportive nature, Simone is a vital part of both the client and team experience at the practice.

Heidi-Mai is an experienced Veterinary Nurse who has been working in the industry since 1999. She has been the Head Nurse at Greencross Vets Kippa Ring since 2009, where she plays a key role in leading the nursing team and supporting high standards of patient care. With over two decades of hands-on experience and a strong commitment to animal welfare, Heidi is known for her clinical expertise, leadership and dedication to both her patients and her team.

Veterinarian
Dr Rowena Spreckley grew up in a small town in Northern NSW nestled between the bush and the beach. Growing up close to the beautiful natural landscapes lead to an appreciation for the environment and the animals that inhabited it. Her love for animals shaped her dream to become a veterinarian which she achieved after moving interstate to study at the University of Queensland. Following graduation Rowena completed 2 years of internships at the Animal Referral Hospital in Brisbane, with a particular focus in Internal Medicine. She then transitioned into general practice with Greencross, initially working in the Ipswich region and more recently has moved to North Brisbane where she now works primarily out of Greencross North Lakes and once weekly at Kippa-Ring. Rowena continues to have a strong interest for Internal Medicine, particularly gastrointestinal medicine, endocrinology and infectious disease however she enjoys all aspects of general practice and values the opportunity to build lasting relationships with her patients and their families.
Outside of work, Rowena enjoys cooking, gardening, beach days, bushwalking, and spending quality time with friends, family, and her beloved Kelpie cross, Louie.

Dr Michelle Bruce graduated from Murdoch University in 2015. She joined Greencross as a locum veterinarian in 2019 working across several clinics in North Brisbane, before becoming a permanent associate veterinarian at Kippa-Ring in 2021.
With a strong passion for feline medicine, Dr Bruce holds a General Practitioner Certificate in Feline Practice (GP CertFelP) and is currently preparing to sit the Feline Medicine Membership examinations. Her dedication to advancing feline health is matched by her commitment to building trusting relationships with pet owners and their beloved companions.
Outside of her professional life, Dr Bruce enjoys reading, crafting, and novice silversmithing. She shares her home with two beloved rescue cats, Buzz and Wallace.

Dr Wendy has been a practicing veterinarian since 1990 and is currently the Vet Director at Greencross Vets Kippa Ring, a role she has held since June 2020. She holds an advanced qualification in surgery and has a strong professional interest in this area. Before moving back to Australia, Wendy worked as Head Veterinarian in Liverpool and travelled extensively across the UK, providing veterinary care in a wide range of practices. With over 30 years of experience and a passion for surgical excellence, Wendy is a respected leader, communicty member and experienced clinician in the veterinary field.

Taneah is known for her calm presence in theatre, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering the highest standard of care to every patient.
