Dr Elyas Dakhili
Dr Elyas Dakhili
Dr Elyas joined Greencross Vetes Maitland in 2019. He spent several years working in mixed practice overseas before passing Australia’s National Veterinary Examination in 2012. Elyas is interested in all aspects of general medicine and surgery. Outside of work he enjoys riding his motorcycle and gardening.
Lisa has been a veterinary nurse for many years now and brings with her vast experience and knowledge in the areas of veterinary nursing including: Avian, Exotics and Reptiles along with dogs and cats.
Her passion is hand rearing orphaned kittens.
Receptionist/ Trainee Vet Nurse
Chelsea has been part of the team at Greencross Vets since 2018. Her passion is to help people and their pets find the kindness and comfort they need during their visit. Chelsea has grown up caring for an abundance of different animals, and looks forward to greeting and meeting each client and pet at the door.
I have been a veterinary nurse for 10 years. I took some time off to pursue a career as a Carnivore Keeper at Taronga Zoo and have now come back to my passion for nursing.
I have a teenage son, two Golden Retrievers; Bailie and Malibu and four cats; Grace, Faith, Anubis and Qi’ra. I’m a mad fitness fanatic and like to spend my spare time at the gym or running.
Dr Kat Loring
Dr Kat Loring
Dr Kat graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2017 and has been a member of the Greencross Vets team since early 2019. She has had a passion for cats and dogs from the start of her career, but also quickly developed a love for birds and small mammals. Kat is more than happy to see your parrots, chickens, mice, rats, rabbits and ferrets, and she enjoys and appreciates the unique challenges these animals present.
When she isn’t at work, Kat is usually hanging out at home with her wife, plants and pets. Kat is a proud pet parent to two smoochy cats, one goofy foxhound, a cheeky galah, evil eclectus parrot and a rather unexciting fish.
Dr Josephine Walsh
Dr Josephine Walsh
Dr. Josie graduated from Sydney University in 2013 and moved to western NSW to work in mixed practice for five years. She joined Greencross Vets Maitland in 2019. She has a keen interest in small animal surgery – both soft tissue and orthopaedic, and has completed continuing education in these areas.
She lives with her husband (also a vet) and they enjoy discussing interesting cases together. When she is not at work, she is usually out walking her dog or working in the garden.
Nurse Team Leader
Ebony started her veterinary nursing career in 2011 and has been a part of the Greencross Vets team since September 2019. She loves being a surgical and anaesthetic nurse because of the variety of technical challenges it poses.
When she isn’t at work Ebony can often be found camping and travelling with her husband and friends. Ebony shares her home with her goofy Great Dane, sassy German shepherd, two cats and her King Parrot, who makes enough noise for everyone.
Veterinary Nurse & Puppy Pre School Trainer
Alana started her career in veterinary nursing as a member of the Greencross Vets team in 2016. She loves every part of her job but takes a special joy in working on dog behaviour. Teaching Puppy preschool is a passion of Alana’s and she loves watching puppies grow up and then following them through their lives.
When she isn’t at work Alana enjoys playing soccer and spending time at home with her family. She shares her life with her human family, but also her large animal one. She has fish, four dogs and seven parrots!
Dr Adam Brookes
Dr Adam Brookes
Dr. Adam studied at Charles Sturt University, graduating in 2013 and has been working in small animal practice since. Adam’s areas of veterinary interest include surgery and animal welfare. Adam has participated in numerous community animal health programs treating, desexing and vaccinating dogs and cats from disadvantaged households in remote Australian communities and in Africa. Outside of the clinic Adam enjoys travelling, gardening and hiking. At home Adam is kept busy by two cats, two dogs, two goats, chickens, ducks, pheasants and pythons.
Michelle has been a client of the Maitland Practice since 1999 & joined the Greencross Vets team back in 2011. Initially Michelle was the ‘Manager of First Impressions’ being on Reception for many years until more recently becoming the clinic’s Practice Manager.
When not at work, Michelle enjoys showing her Bloodhounds & Bracco Italiano. As well as showing, Michelle has a keen interest in Tracking, Lure Coursing & Nose Works with her six dogs.
Dr Tracey Stenberg
Dr Tracey Stenberg
Dr Tracey has over 20 years experience as a veterinarian, originally graduating from University of Queensland. she has memberships with the Australian & New Zealand college of Veterinary Scientists for Small Animal Emergency & Critical care.
Tracey also has her Memberships in Emergency and Critical care. She has special interests in small animal medicine (in particular emergency medicine), ultrasonography and soft tissue surgery.
When not at work, Tracey competes in reining with her horse.
Katie started her career in 2006 and she graduated from TAFE with a Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing qualification and an excellence in surgical nursing.
The mum of two enjoys spending time with her family, being entertained by her chickens and playing the guitar in her spare time. In 2015 Katie decided it was time to take on a new challenge and graduated from AIRC in 2017 with her Diploma of Veterinary Nursing.
In August 2019 she became a member of Greencross Vets Maitland and is thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to broaden her skills and knowledge.
Head of Reception
Renee has been a veterinary nurse for over 20 years.
She and her family share their home with an abundance of animals including horses, dogs, cats and reptiles.
Renee has been with Greencross Vets since 2015 and her current role is Head of Reception. You will find her friendly face greeting you and your pets as you walk through the door.
Nikki has been at Greencross Vets since 2013. Nikki is a qualified veterinary nurse although working mainly in reception. Nikki has two dogs – Lissie and Benson a cat – Jasper, birds and chooks. Nikki loves her job at Greencross Vets, enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking and going to the movies.
