We are a well-equipped veterinary hospital that has been part of the Maitland community for over 20 years. We have a dedicated team of vets, nurses and reception staff who are all highly experienced and have a wide range of special interests involving all areas of veterinary medicine and animal care.

Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

Stefanie Kruger

Stefanie is a dedicated vet nurse with a deep love for all animals, and a special fondness for Labrador and Golden Retrievers

Dr Georgia Taylor

Dr Georgia Taylor

Dr Georgia graduated from James Cook University in early 2021, and began her career in rural mixed practice in Queensland. She particularly enjoys small animal medicine and surgery, and is keen to advance her skills in ultrasonography and surgery.

In her free time, Georgia enjoys dance, aerial gymnastics and a good book, as well as time at home with her sister and their two dogs.’

Gin Ng

Gin Ng

Dr. Gin was born and raised in Singapore, and moved to Australia in 2017 to study veterinary medicine at Murdoch University in Perth. She graduated in 2020 and worked in a small-animal practice for 3 years before joining the Greencross Team in 2024. Dr. Gin has an interest in anaesthesia and analgesia, endocrinopathies, and soft tissue surgery.

In her free time, she volunteers at Irukandji Shark & Ray Encounters and Sea Shelter to treat sea turtles, sharks, and rays. She also enjoys dancing, the sun and the beach, and playing the Xbox. She and her partner whom is also a veterinarian, share 3 ginger cats and 2 Chihuahuas with hopes to get a dozen pet rats in the near future.

Veterinary Nurse

Lisa has been a veterinary nurse for many years now and brings with her vast experience and knowledge in the areas of veterinary nursing including: Avian, Exotics and Reptiles along with dogs and cats.

Her passion is hand rearing orphaned kittens.

Chelsea has been part of the team at Greencross Vets since 2018. Her passion is to help people and their pets find the kindness and comfort they need during their visit. Chelsea has grown up caring for an abundance of different animals, and looks forward to greeting and meeting each client and pet at the door.

Dr Kat Loring

Dr Kat Loring

Veterinarian

Dr Kat graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2017 and has been a member of the Greencross Vets team since early 2019. She has had a passion for cats and dogs from the start of her career, but also quickly developed a love for birds and small mammals. Kat is more than happy to see your parrots, chickens, mice, rats, rabbits and ferrets, and she enjoys and appreciates the unique challenges these animals present.

When she isn’t at work, Kat is usually hanging out at home with her wife, plants and pets. Kat is a proud pet parent to two smoochy cats, one goofy foxhound, a cheeky galah, evil eclectus parrot and a rather unexciting fish.

Dr Josephine Walsh

Veterinary Director

Dr. Josie graduated from Sydney University in 2013 and moved to western NSW to work in mixed practice for five years. She joined Greencross Vets Maitland in 2019. She has a keen interest in small animal surgery – both soft tissue and orthopaedic, and has completed continuing education in these areas.

She lives with her husband (also a vet) and they enjoy discussing interesting cases together. When she is not at work, she is usually out walking her dog or working in the garden.

Dr Tracey Stenberg

Dr Tracey Stenberg

Veterinary Director

Dr Tracey has over 20 years experience as a veterinarian, originally graduating from University of Queensland. she has memberships with the Australian & New Zealand college of Veterinary Scientists for Small Animal Emergency & Critical care.

Tracey also has her Memberships in Emergency and Critical care. She has special interests in small animal medicine (in particular emergency medicine), ultrasonography and soft tissue surgery.

When not at work, Tracey competes in reining with her horse.

Katie Sillett

Veterinary Nurse

Katie started her career in 2006 and she graduated from TAFE with a Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing qualification and an excellence in surgical nursing.

The mum of two enjoys spending time with her family, being entertained by her chickens and playing the guitar in her spare time. In 2015 Katie decided it was time to take on a new challenge and graduated from AIRC in 2017 with her Diploma of Veterinary Nursing.

In August 2019 she became a member of Greencross Vets Maitland and is thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to broaden her skills and knowledge.

Renee started with Greencross in 2015 , I have been a Veterinary Nurse since 1998.
In 2024 I became Practice Manager and am lucky to work with an amazing team of vets and nurses.
I live on a small property with my 2 kids and an abundance of Dogs & Horses and our cat
