Greencross Vets Oxenford are your local team of pet care professionals, we are truly ‘passionate about pets’ and we love what we do. We offer a comprehensive range of professional veterinary services to cater for all your pet needs, ranging from preventative health care to weight loss programs through to surgery and diagnostic medicine.

Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

Meet The Team

Lilly

Lilly

Lilly-Rose is a qualified Diploma Veterinary Nurse who recently moved from New Zealand to Australia. She is passionate about animal care, loves spending time at the beach, and is always eager to keep learning and growing in the field. Lilly is excited to be part of the team and work with all the animals.

Katherine

Katherine

Growing up in Rural Queensland, Katherine always had a love for animals big and small. She moved to Mackay where she completed her certificate 4 in vet nursing and worked at a mixed practice. She has since returned to the Gold Coast where she has been with Greencross since 2022.

When she’s not in the clinic Katherine enjoys spending time with her friends and family and chasing around her Border Collie Ollie and her beautiful daughter Daisy.

Tara

Tara

Tara is a cert IV veterinary nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) majoring in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience from UQG. Working with animals has always been a rewarding experience for Tara, including nursing companion animals and volunteering with sea turtles.

Outside of work you can find Tara at the beach with her Australian cattle dog x Hugo and beagle Gypsy, or snuggled at home with her ginger cat Gigi.

Monica

Monica

Monica is a dedicated veterinary nurse with a BSc (Hons) in Zoo Biology and nearly two years of hands-on experience in veterinary nursing. She has a strong passion for hospital cases and emergency care and is skilled in triage, patient monitoring, animal behavior, and low-stress handling, always putting the welfare of her furry patients first. Outside the clinic, she enjoys playing netball, soccer and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her two over-loved black feline fellas, Vic and Yoda.

Dr Alicia B

Dr Alicia B

Dr Alicia graduated from the University of Queensland in 2022, and completed a 12 month rotating internship at an Equine hospital in Melbourne Victoria and a further 12 months of ambulatory equine practice. She loves all animals and is currently completing the Greencross New Graduate Program to further her knowledge in small animal practice. Dr Alicia has a keen interest in surgery and general medicine. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her dogs, diving and knitting.

Robyn

Robyn

Robyn was born in the North West of England and spent her young adult life travelling and working around Europe. She settled in Australia over a decade ago, hitting the ground running by starting her nursing career as an intern with Greencross Vets.

Having completed her Certificate II in nursing with record timing Robyn was offered a full ride scholarship, only given to those showing the most promise and dedication.

When she is not in clinic, Robyn can be found having adventures around the Gold Coast with her friends and two Jack Russell’s, Barney and Lexi.

Dr. Richard H

Dr. Richard H

Richard graduated from the University of Queensland at the end of 2017 with a Bachelors of Veterinary Science (Hons). He started at Greencross Mudgeeraba in 2020 and moved to be the Veterinary Director in Greencross Oxenford in 2023

Richard enjoys small animal medicine, ultrasound, emergency medicine and anesthesia. He’s also been involved in multiple surgical veterinary volunteer programs in the Pacific Islands. Since starting at Greencross he has completed a Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care, as well as getting a scholarship for and completing a Small Animal Medicine course from 2022-2024.

Richard has two cute cats called Toby and Einstein.

Dr. Colleen H

Dr. Colleen H

Dr Colleen Heffernan graduated from the University of Queensland in 2020 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (honors) and has been part of the Greencross Oxenford team since graduation.

Dr Colleen has always had a huge love for animals since she was a little girl and this is what inspired her to follow her dream into the veterinary profession.

In her spare time, you will find her out and about either at the beach or having brunch with friends and family, or at home snuggled on the couch watching TV with her 2 dogs Albert and Tobias and cat Rex.

Georgina M

Georgina M

Veterinary Nurse

Georgina is a Veterinary Nurse with a Certificate IV with a strong interest in surgical nursing. She started with Greencross Vets in 2016 and owns two cats, a dog and a horse. Away from the clinic Georgina spends most of her free time with her animals.

Jade

Jade

Jade has always loved animals and wanted to work in the veterinary industry since she was young. After a few years of different careers and a few years travelling though Asia, Europe, Africa, North America and South America she begun with Greencross in 2015 as a volunteer, then moved into a Veterinary Nursing position, after completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing moved into the Head Nurse position then took a leap and move into the Practice Manager position where she loves the mix of the admin tasks while still getting to assist out the back with nursing.

Her time outside of the clinic is spent with her Fiancé Liam, their child Brody and fur babies Charlie (Chihuahua x mini foxy, pictured), newest addition Peanut (Chihuahua) and Mila (Domestic Short Hair Cat).
