Brigette is currently studying veterinary nursing at Tafe SA. She has been working at the Strathalbyn clinic since Feb 2016. She has always loved animals and being able to work with them is a dream. Brigette had plenty of pets growing up, including horses, a kelpie, cats and a possum. Brigette loves her job here at Strathalbyn and looks forward to many more years to come in the veterinary industry.
Chloe has been with us for just over 8 months and has recently completed Certificate 3 in Animal Studies. She is planning to study Cert 4 in veterinary nursing next year. She has a love for both small and large animals with a mixture as her pets at home. These include 2 geckos, 2 horses, 3 chickens, goldfish, 2 dogs and a 12 year old budgie. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and racing motocross with Jackie on the weekends.

Jerome started here at Strathalbyn when he first completed his vet science degree and has remained doing two days a week with us and some afterhours. He enjoys his time here getting out to see the large animals calls, particularly the cattle work. Jerome has a keen interest in all exotic animals and wildlife and we get to see lots of photos of the animals from his work at Monarto Zoo. Jerome enjoys all aspects of photography in his spare time, and he and his wife are kept busy with their beautiful daughter.

Luisa completed her veterinary degree at The University of Adelaide in 2013. She joined the team at Greencross Vets Strathalbyn in late December 2015 after spending 2 years up north in a rural mixed practice. Luisa particularly enjoys working up small animal internal medicine cases and is currently undertaking another small animal medicine course. When Luisa is not at work she is kept pre-occupied by her beautiful Border Collie, Willow, whom is always up to mischief and keen for a run!

Ross is our senior vet and has been with the Strathalbyn Vet Clinic for 20 years now. He has over 25 years experience including some time as a flying vet in the Northern Territory, large animal practice in NSW and mixed dairy practice in Northern Victoria. He has a keen interest in small animal medicine and dermatology and has completed post graduate training in small animal internal medicine, dermatology, feline medicine, small animal endocrinology and emergency medicine. His other interests include gardening, reading, squash and hiking.

Dr Steph first joined the Greencross Vets Strathalbyn team in late 2013 after completing her veterinary degree at the University of Adelaide, Roseworthy SA. She very much enjoyed her time as part of the team but in September 2015 left the clinic to spend time travelling through Africa, broadening her skills performing locum work at veterinary clinics throughout South Australia, and in her spare time working on the family beef farm at Back Valley.
Dr Steph is excited to be back at Greencross Vets Strathalbyn and working with the great team we have here, she looks forward to catching up with old clients and meeting new faces, and settling into the community!
Kaya is a qualified vet nurse and has worked in the industry for 18years with large and small animals. She loves helping and caring for all the wonderful pets and really enjoys the ever changing needs that present in the vet clinic. Her special interests are dentistry and reptiles. At home she has 11 cats, 3 horses, goanna, birds, her crazy dog “Lily” and her two teenage sons Ben and Tim. In her free time Kaya enjoys trail riding on her great horses.
Kerri has worked as a veterinary nurse since November 2009 and has completed Certificate II in Animal Studies; certificate IV in racing and Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, with a special interest in behaviour, training and teaching puppy school. She joined the Greencross team at Strathalbyn in September 2014 after a short break to start a family. Outside of work she spends much of her time enjoying family life on the their farm, with horses, sheep cattle, and two dogs – Annie the rescue Greyhound and Lela the Tenterfield Terrier.
Mardi is one of our valued, fully qualified Certificate 4 vet nurses. She grew up on her family farm in a small country town called Peake. Over the years she had many pets including dogs, cats, rats, kangaroos, sheep, horses, cows, magpies, chickens and goats. She also studied Ecotourism at Flinders University and enjoys sharing many outdoor activities with her husband and two children. She has two fur babies: Codie, the border collie and Kami the DLH cat.
Nikki has worked in the veterinary industry since 2002, working in Riverland before joining us at Strathalbyn in 2015. She brings a wealth of experience to our team, and is currently finishing off her formal Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Outside of work Nikki is kept busy with her two kids, Great Dane Ella, and their large team of show horses. On the weekends you will Nikki at horse shows around the states, where she also sells handmade browbands and other show accessories.
Petria has been working at Strathalbyn as a part time receptionist for many years. She is the smiling face everyone knows on our front desk. She is a fully qualified nurse and did work as a nurse for many years before slowing down to look after her two sons. Petria loves her horses and enjoys trail riding and dressage plus spending time with her two dogs Jed (a whippet) and Beau (a whippet cross).
