Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

X-ray/Radiology

Greencross Vets clinics are equipped with high-quality radiograph equipment including X-ray machines, automatic processors, and X-ray view equipment.

Clinical Pathology

Clinical pathology allows our vets to analyse and diagnose health conditions. Common laboratory tests include blood tests, urinalysis, faecal tests and biopsy examination.

Laboratory Testing

The latest in-house laboratory equipment allows our vets to perform a range of diagnostic tests to achieve accurate, rapid diagnosis of your pets’ health status.

Meet The Team

Sheridan Thomas

Sheridan Thomas

After doing a term of Cert II at Yallah TAFE ,Sheridan started training at Greencross vets as a trainee at our Fairy Meadow branch in 2014. She would work one day a week as a placement student during year 11 & 12 while finishing off her HSC. Once graduated from high school and finishing Cert II animal studies she went on to study Cert IV in veterinary nursing through the Greencross training platform AIRC . From there, Sheridan went on to take a roll as veterinary nurse across 3 of our south coast clinics, based mostly at Warilla- Shellcove and occasionally at Woonona-Bulli & Fairy Meadow. Additional to vet nursing, Sheridan runs her own small house & pet sitting business and lives at home with her cheeky Beagle dog Ajax, Cockatiel Kerry and a few chooks! Whenever she isn’t working, Sheridan enjoys getting outdoors to go on bushwalks & traveling to new countries

Aimee Fuller

Aimee Fuller

Aimee is our reptile crazy nurse. She loves reptiles but her passion also extends further, to dogs, cats, birds and all small exotics and wildlife. She loves running her puppy school classes and seeing all of the little puppies grow puts a big smile on her face. Aimee has been a nurse for 4 years now, Aimee started off as one of our School Based Trainees whilst completing her Certificate II in Animal Studies, once Aimee was finished her HSC she then joined our Greencross team and is in the middle of completing her certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and you can see her at our Warilla & Fairy Meadow clinics. She loves her job and couldn’t see herself doing anything else!

Dr Brett Beehag

Dr Brett Beehag

Brett qualified as a vet from Sydney university in 1997 and starting working with the team in Wollongong in the same year . In 2006 he gained his memberships with the Australian college of veterinary scientists in surgery.  Surgery is one of his favorite areas of the job .  He, his wife and his 2 kids, have 2 cats and 1 dog and loves the outdoors

Dr Nicole Defina

Dr Nicole Defina

Nikki graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Since graduating, Nikki has worked in mixed practices in rural Victoria and the Illawarra area before joining the Greencross team in 2017.

Nikki loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, but particularly enjoys small animal surgery and wildlife medicine. She lives at home with her partner who is also a vet, their cat Mr Moustachio, and their dog, a Catahoula called Angus. Outside of her work as a vet, Nikki loves running and exploring the great outdoors.

Dr Sharon Tan

Dr Sharon Tan

Sharon graduated from University of Sydney in 2006 and has worked in several clinics before joining Greencross Vets in 2010. She is mother to two cats, an overweight Devon Rex, a feisty domestic long hair cat, and a toddler who is learning that emotions are a thing. When she is not at work, Sharon loves to binge on Netflix and ice cream.

Dr Rosie Davis

Dr Rosie Davis

Rosie is a veterinarian who grew up in Wollongong. She went to The University of Sydney and moved back to her hometown after graduating. She enjoys many aspects of small animal veterinary practice, but has a passion for small animal medicine and diagnostic imaging. When not at the clinic you’ll most likely find her outside; walking, running or riding a bike; or inside baking.

Matile Barham

Matile Barham

Matile has worked with Greencross as a Veterinary Nurse for 10 year. She has always loved animals and lives on a farm with her family and pets. They have lots of cows, 2 horses Ezzie and Edward, a gorgeous cat Coco, a very active Kelpie named Raven and a lovable Labrador Ella. Matile has a passion for customer care and loves helping and greeting all our clients and their pets at the front desk. Being a Vet Nurse is the most rewarding job for Matile and she loves caring for the animals in hospital and nursing them back to recovery.

Rebecca Stone

Rebecca Stone

Bec has a naughty little ginger kitty called Arnold and a big goofy cross breed called Jeffrey. They love to wrestle and play together!

She loves being a vet nurse, working with different animals each day and helping them in any way she can.

When Bec is not at work, she likes being at the beach, spending time with family/friends, watching movies and baking.

Rebecca Koring

Bec has been a veterinary nurse for 11 years and is a mum to 3 fur children, Spud and Nina her troublesome doggos, Meggs the water-loving cat and six chickens. Bec also has 2 human children and enjoys spending weekends with them at the beach or out on the boat.

Dr Ashlinn O’Keeffe

Dr Ashlinn O’Keeffe

Ashlinn graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010 and has since worked across several clinics including Fairy Meadow, Woonona Bulli, Warilla Shellcove and Campbelltown. She now spends most of the time leading the team at Greencross Warilla Shellcove as Veterinary Director. Ashlinn is also a member of the Veterinary Advisory Board for Greencross Vets that has over 100 Veterinary hospitals Australia wide. She has a keen interest in small animal surgical cases and also enjoys day to day GP consulting such as cute puppy checks! Any spare time is spent with her beloved and very spoilt dog Harry who can sometimes be spotted visiting the clinic.

Lauren Coussens

Lauren Coussens

Lauren qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2001 and has been nursing ever since. She joined the team at Fairy Meadow in 2015 and is now Practice Manager for our Fairy Meadow, Woonona-Bulli and Warilla-Shellcove Clinics. Her favourite nursing role is assisting the vets with surgery and is slightly crazy about cats! She has 3 black cats at home – Cino, Luna and Harry, a German Shepherd, Toby and an Indian Ringneck Parrot called Ringo. She loves spending time with her husband Brad and daughter Scarlett.

Dr Kevin Calleja

Dr Kevin Calleja

Kevin has recently joined our team at Greencross Fairy Meadow and Warilla but is a familiar face around the Illawarra after being a vet here for nearly 20 years. Kevin has a keen interest in cat medicine, but loves all aspects of being a Veterinary surgeon. Kevin shares his house hold with his patient wife, 2 kids , 2 cats and 2 dogs. When not having fun with his day job, Kevin likes to spend his time fishing out on the lake.
