Warilla – Shell Cove

Sophie

Sophie started her Vet Nursing career in 2019 with completing her Certificate 2 in Animal Studies. A short time later she then completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and became fully qualified. Sophie’s favourite part about her job is taking care of her hospital patients as well as developing her skills in other areas such as anesthetic nursing and triage. When Sophie’s not at work, she is spending quality time with her pup Sadie or finding dirt bike trails.

Dr. Nikki

Dr Nikki joined our team in 2017 after gaining her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She has a special interest in pain management and End of Life consultations with her beautiful patients. Dr Nikki’s favourite part of her job is chatting with clients about their pets and getting to know and understand her patients needs. When she isn’t at work, you can find her spending quality time with her family.

Mandy

Mandy joined our team in December 2020 but has been a Veterinary Nurse for over a decade. She is our amazing Practice Manage and her excellence won her the Practice Manager of the year award at our National Greencross Symposium in 2022. She has a special interest in rehabilitation in dogs and is currently undergoing a scholarship for canine remedial massage. She enjoys spending time with her beautiful German Shepherd Memphis and her bird Clover. In her spare time Mandy likes to go for road trips along the coast, spend time with family and friends and she is a super star cake baker!

Annie

Veterinary Nurse

Annie started with our team in January 2022 whilst studying for her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She graduated in 2023 and is now working as a fully qualified nurse across multiple Greencross clinics. Her favourite part of the job is taking care of all the hospital patients and assisting in surgery. She hopes to one day continue her learning and progress to working as an emergency nurse.

Laura

Veterinary Nurse

Laura started with our team in November 2022. She moved to Australia in 2011 from New Zealand where she completed her Diploma of Veterinary Nursing. Laura’s favourite part of being a vet nurse is preventative health and medical nursing. She has two beautiful dogs named Scooby and Penni. When she is not working you can find her hanging out with her family and friends.

Dr Ashley

Veterinarian

Dr Ashley graduated in his hometown in the UK in 2011 and came to Australia to come and work at Greencross Vets in 2018. You will also find him working at Greencross Vets Fairy Meadow and as one of the Emergency Veterinarian’s at the Animal Referral Hospital Wollongong. He has a little Blue Tongue Skink named Flip at home. Dr Ashley takes a particular interest in soft tissue surgery in all animals but especially small pocket pets, reptiles and rabbits.
In his own time, he is a keen photographer and loves exploring the outdoors!

Nathan

Veterinary Nurse

Nathan originally started his journey as our Greencross Vet Nurse Intern in July 2019. After completing his Certificate II in Animal Studies, Nathan then went on to studying for his Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. In 2020 he joined our team as one of our Junior Vet Nurses and continues to develop his skills and qualifications as a veterinary nurse.
Nathan enjoys a lot of things about his job but takes a particular interest in working in the laboratory, running all sorts of diagnostic tests. He also loves that he gets to work as part of a small, close knit team that is filled with amazing Vets and Nurses.
When not in the clinic, you can find him spending time with his wife, two children, his cocker spaniel Rubble, and his two cats Nala and Simba.

Mandy

Practice Manager

Mandy joined our team in February 2021 but has been a Veterinary Nurse for over a decade and is now our amazing Practice Manager. She has a special interest in surgery and pathology and is also our regions Nurse Nutritional Advocate. She enjoys spending time with her two beautiful German Shepherds Summah and Memphis and her bird Clover.
In her spare time Mandy likes to go for road trips along the coast, spend time with family and friends and she is a super star cake baker!

Aimee

Head Nurse

Aimee has been apart of our team since 2014, she started as a one of our students and has since completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and since July 2023 she has taken on the role of our Head Nurse. She has a great passion for reptiles, birds and native wildlife. Aimee’s favourite part about the job is monitoring her patients in surgery and nursing them in hospital, and she has a particular interest in emergency nursing and exotic and pocket pet surgery/nursing, you can find her working at the Animal Referral Hospital in Wollongong. When she is not at work she loves spending time with her cat Lily, camping and traveling Australia with her partner, all whilst caring for her large collection of reptiles at home!

Dr Ashlinn

Veterinary Director

Dr Ashlinn graduated from The University of Sydney in 2010 and has since worked across several of our Greencross clinics in the Illawarra. For the past six years she taken on the role as Veterinary Director at our clinic here at Warilla/Shellcove. She has a keen interest in small animal surgical cases and also enjoys day to day GP consulting such as cute puppy checkups! Any spare time she has is dedicated to her wonderful family which includes her husband, her 2 daughters and her rescue pup Harry.

Dr Rosie

Veterinary Director

Dr Rosie is one of our Veterinary Directors here at the clinic who grew up in Wollongong. She went to The University of Sydney where she gained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree and moved back to her home town after graduating. Dr Rosie, enjoys many aspects of small animal medicine and diagnostic imaging. When not at the clinic you’ll find Dr Rosie in the outdoors, walking, running, riding her bike or inside baking.

Matile

Veterinary Nurse

Matile has worked with Greencross as a Vet Nurse for over a decade! She has always loved animals and lives on a farm with her husband, her kids and pets. Her pet family consist of, a lot of cows, a horse named Edward, a cat named Ted and 2 very active dogs named Raven and Jiffy. Matile has a passion for customer care and loves helping and greeting all of our clients and their pets at the front desk. Being a vet nurse is a very rewarding job for Matile and her favourite part of her job is caring for all the animals in hospital and nursing them back to recovery.

Rebecca

Veterinary Nurse

Bec has been a apart of our team for 10 years now. She lives with her husband and 2 kids, as well as her cheeky ginger domestic short hair Arnie. Her favourite part of the job is surgical nursing and seeing patients go home happy and healthy after treating them. When she isn’t at work you can find her hanging out with her friends and family, or at the beach!

Dr Kevin

Veterinarian

Kevin joined our team at Greencross Fairy Meadow and Warilla in 2019 and is a familiar face around the Illawarra after being a vet here for almost two decades years. He has a keen interest in cat medicine, but loves all aspects of being a Veterinary surgeon.

Kevin shares his house hold with his patient wife, two wonderful kids, and two dogs. When not having fun with his day job, Kevin likes to spend his time fishing out on the lake.
