Growing up in Crafers in the Adelaide hills, Karen was never really allowed pets, but loved animals and started working in wildlife parks when she was only 15. She continued her work with wildlife until when she decided to try a career in the veterinary industry. In her one-year stint at the zoo, she had in her charge a couple of hippos, otters, giraffe, brown bears and beavers. Her knowledge and passion for native and exotic animals is valued here at Greencross Wellington Road.
Karen’s spare time is mostly spent with her dogs and big cuddly cat Ranga She is a registered breeder of Australian Shepherds, which she competes in the show-ring as well as in obedience and agility.
