Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Puppy Pre-School

Meet The Team

Megan Baumer

Megan Baumer

Megan has been a qualified Veterinary Nurse since 2010 and joined the Greencross team in May of 2017. After working in practice management for a number of years she wanted to get back into clinical work and continue to improve her skills in medical and surgical nursing. Megan is passionate about animal behaviour and is one of our Best Behaviour puppy preschool trainers. In her spare time she loves to go on adventures with her dog, Pumba, and hang out with her family and friends.

Rowan Harris

Rowan Harris

Rowan is currently completing his studies in Veterinary Nursing and started in the industry in 2016. He enjoys the daily variety which comes from working in a veterinary clinic and making a positive difference to the wellbeing of our patients. He enjoys spending his free time with his family.

Dr Fiona Hyde Page

Dr Fiona Hyde Page

Fiona graduated in 2004 and has worked as a small animal veterinarian ever since. She has a particular interest in Avian Medicine and studied this subject for her Master of Veterinary Medicine degree, alongside Canine and Feline Oncology, Emergency Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging. For her thesis she researched blood transfusions in birds infected with avian malaria. She graduated with her masters degree from Massey University, New Zealand, in 2017. Outside of work she enjoys reading and spending time with her pet birds: Hugo the budgie; Bourke the Bourke’s parrot; and her four doves- Doveman, Pete, Manu and Lady Edith.

Brittany Carnall

Brittany Carnall

Brittany has been a part of the Winmalee team since 2012. She has grown and developed her skills and is now the Head Veterinary Nurse at the hospital. She is very enthusiastic about surgical and medical nursing and is particularly interested in emergency medicine and critical care. In her spare time she enjoys a wide range of outdoor & physical activities, as well as drawing, reading and spending time with her adopted fur babies; 2 cats named Loki & Sebastian and a Kelpie named Albie.

Danielle Spradbrow

Danielle Spradbrow

Danielle is a junior veterinary nurse with Greencross Vets Winmalee and has been involved in the animal industry since 2009. She has gained experience with wildlife whilst volunteering at Taronga Zoo as well as helping to foster and rehome kittens through rescue organisations . Danielle has a passion for animal welfare and hopes to soon complete her veterinary nursing studies and become a fully qualified nurse.

Dr Gareth Chan

Dr Gareth Chan

Gareth graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2015 and was welcomed into our team via the Greencross New Graduate program. He is a keen learner and is furthering his studies in medicine and imaging. Gareth has already gained the trust and loyalty of some of our great clients in his short time here. In his personal time he likes to go hiking and play badminton.

Dr Gary Lai

Dr Gary Lai

Dr Gary Lai joined our team in March 2010 and has been the Veterinary Director since January 2017. He has been a qualified Veterinarian since 2000 and has worked both in Australia and the UK specialising in Equine medicine. Gary is particularly passionate about dental health in animals and still provides equine dentistry services in his spare time. He enjoys cooking, bike riding and spending quality time with his family.

Jenny Fitzpatrick

Jenny Fitzpatrick

Jenny has been a Veterinary Nurse since 2002. She became interested in the Veterinary industry after spending a lot of time at the vets with her Kelpie Max, he suffered from a numerous medical issues including epilepsy, arthritis & luxating Patellas. In her quest to know more about his conditions and how to help care for Max she enrolled in Veterinary Nursing at TAFE and has never looked back. Jenny loves being a Veterinary nurse and now has 2 crazy Whippets at home, Tigs & Rosie, and a cat named Abby.

Marsha Bartley

Marsha Bartley

Marsha has worked as a Veterinary Nurse in the Blue Mountains since 2005 and became the Practice Manager of our Winmalee clinic in 2009.
Marsha has her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and a Diploma in Management.
She loves building close relationships with our clients and helping them to give the best care for their pets.
At home she has a cheeky one eyed cat named Ellie and in her spare time she enjoys riding her motorbike and exploring new places.
