Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

Dr Rebecca Barker BVSc (Hons)

Veterinarian

Dr Rebecca graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014 with honors. She has a strong passion for preventative and lifelong quality care of all pets, including fear free handling and palliative care. She is the kind of vet who will spoil your pet, but also likely know the names of your children and maybe even your mum as she is probably bringing her pets to see her too! Dr Rebecca has greatly enjoyed working in the local area for many years and it is where she wants to stay as she understands how important consistency of care can be for you and your pets. Her time is otherwise spent with her own family and she is kept busy with her two young children and her cat Sophie.

Veterinarian

Dr Owen has been a part of the Greencross Vets Team for 19 years, working at a range of clinics to build his expertise. Dr Owen is highly knowledgeable and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure his clients and patients receive the highest standard of care and understanding.

In his spare time, Dr Owen enjoys gourmet chocolate making and eating, collecting fine wine, and relentlessly supporting his favourite AFL team, the Brisbane Lions.

Practice Manager

Amanda joined the Greencross Vets family August 2014. Having studied animal psychology and training, coupled with a great respect and love for animals, drew her to pursue her passion in the veterinary field. She has a great interest in animal behaviour and has Instructed at various dog obedience clubs and is currently the Coordinator of our Puppy Pre-School and Adult behaviour classes. Amanda loves to assist her clients in teaching their dogs new tricks and to solve your puppy problems!

Becoming a Practice Manager in 2019, Amanda strives to assist the team to achieve the extraordinary, by providing an outstanding Veterinary experience to our clients and their beloved pets!

She loves the positive, fun and friendly working environment provided by the team and enjoys catching up with regular clients and their furry family members!

When she’s not in the clinic, you will find her spending time outdoors with her husband, three dogs Ava, Blu and Felice (Australian Shepherds) and Thor her Icelandic horse. She is very proud of their combined successes in various show and dog obedience disciplines.

Felicity ‘Flick’ Brown

Felicity ‘Flick’ Brown

Veterinary Nurse

Felicity, or better known to us as Flick, is a Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse who has been in the veterinary industry since 2019. Prior to that, she worked with the RSPCA for two years.

Felicity has a passion for stress free handling protocols and creating a loving environment for all pets. She has a strong belief in animal behaviour training and advancing her clinical skills and knowledge.

She is the proud parent to three year old Anakin who she raised from three weeks old, as well as two kitties Eddie and Moustachio, who really does have a moustache!

Flick is a very valued and respected member of the Wishart Road team!
