Alisha completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2012. She has been working with the amazing team at Greencross Hoppers Crossing since early 2014 and absolutely loves what she does. It has been a dream of hers to work with animals since before she can remember. She enjoys looking after any patients that come through the door, and making sure they are as happy and comfortable as possible. Alisha doesn’t have any pets of her own but her son Billy certainly keeps her on her toes!
Dr Giovanna De Tommaso
Dr Giovanna De Tommaso
Dr Giovanna De Tommaso graduated in Italy in 2002. She decided to travel to Australia before starting to work as a vet in Italy but she fell in love with Australia and her now husband. After working for a few years as a veterinary nurse at Lort Smith Animal Hospital and Vet emergency, she then chose to spend a year in the UK working as a vet. She came back to Melbourne in 2006 and decided to sit the NVE. While studying, she continued to work as a vet nurse at Melbourne University in the emergency department. She passed the NVE in 2008 and spent 6 months in Darwin working as a general practitioner in a busy small animal practice. Giovanna came back to Melbourne in mid 2009 and worked at Uvet in the general practice and surgery departments, where she was also involved in teaching students desexing. She also worked as a casual in the Uvet Emergency department and in private clinics around Werribee and Hoppers Crossing. In the last few years, Giovanna has been working as a part time vet in Greencross Hoppers Crossing.
Dr Jeff Brady
Dr Jeff Brady
Dr Jeff has been at 58 Derrimut Road for over 12 years. He has been a dog and cat vet for a few more years than that, however, and still enjoys the interesting cases that find their way to our clinic. He keeps up to date with the latest techniques & treatments through conferences and web-based learning to ensure your pets are offered the very best care possible. He has been involved with the Australian Veterinary Association for many years and awarded the title of Fellow after his extensive voluntary work. Dr Jeff is owned by a hyperactive and demanding Jack Russell Terrier named Lily, who cohabits with Raffy the quiet, gentle Pug cross. In his spare time Jeff likes to cook and eat, maybe too much
Erin is a trainee nurse at Greencross Vets Hoppers Crossing. She is currently studying towards her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with Open Colleges and is very grateful to have this opportunity to put her newly learnt skills into action at Greencross Vets. In her spare time Erin loves to go water skiing and hang out with her newly rescued dog Lenny who is a kelpie cross. Erin is very much enjoying working with the Hoppers Crossing team and getting to know all their lovely clients.
Jessica Joosse completed her Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences (Zoology) with La Trobe University in 2016 and is currently studying toward her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with Open Colleges. Since 2010, she has worked in a variety of small animal clinics across the western suburbs and continues to pursue her passion for animals through volunteering with Zoos Victoria in her spare time. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but is particularly interested in the role nutrition plays in the overall health and wellbeing of all animals. Jessica is a cat lover and has two Burmese cats of her own, called Yin & Yang.
Pru has been working as a Vet Nurse since 1998, where she started her Nursing career in a mixed practice (Farm Animals & Family Pets), before moving to Werribee and starting work with Jeff in this clinic in 2006 when it was formerly known as Derrimut Rd Vet Clinic and PetsFirst. Although Pru has been nursing for quite some time she continues to enjoy learning, meeting new clients and their pets and having a good chat with our regular clients. She enjoys seeing their pets return and assisting owners with any pet health concerns.
When Pru is not at work she is kept busy with her 3 young children, her elderly Kelpie “Chop”, a rainbow lorikeet “Rainbow” and goldfish. Pru also enjoys visiting her family’s dairy farm, exploring national parks and beaches, and of course spending time with friends & family.
