Dr. Kia

Dr. Kia

Veterinarian

Dr. Kia has always wanted to work with animals and being a vet seemed like a natural choice. Her interest in animals brought her to Perth where she graduated from Murdoch University over a decade ago. From the beginning of her education, she knew working in a small animal practice would be perfect for her. Her professional career began in Busselton, then went to her home town of Singapore for over three years to be closer to my family, but it was the west coast, Perth, that stole her heart.

Being in general practice gives her opportunities to lend a helping hand to both clients and their pets on a daily basis, this is because many people view their pets as part of their family and Dr. Kia feels honoured that the local community trust in her to care for their beloved animals.

Her professional interests are in small animal medicine (in particular endocrinology and management of concurrent medical diseases), dermatology, Traditional Chinese Medicine-based acupuncture and small mammals (rabbits and guinea pigs).

At home, her and her responsibility of running after their young human child, who keeps us busy every day. Away from nurturing pets her other passions are yoga as it helps her to recharge and stay grounded in my hectic life. Additionally, she is a pet parent to a cat names Colin who loves to have a snooze under the sun!
