Sandra

Sandra began her nursing career in 2020 and quickly discovered a passion for caring for furry patients. Since then, she has developed a keen interest in animal behaviour and looks forward to pursuing further study in the field. Known for her compassionate approach and dedication to her patients, Sandra brings both skill and heart to her role every day.

We’re thrilled to welcome Sandra to the team as our Head Veterinary Nurse. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find her baking delicious treats or enjoying outdoor adventures with her two much-loved staffies.

Dr Madeleine S

Madeleine Sorell is an experienced veterinarian with a background in both emergency care and general practice. After earning an undergraduate degree in mathematics at NYU, she spent two years working in finance before realizing her true passion for veterinary medicine. She pursued this new direction at the University of Edinburgh, where she graduated in 2018.

Following her veterinary education, Madeleine completed a rotating internship at CVS in Charlotte, followed by an oncology internship at NC State. Her career then focused on emergency and critical care (ECC), which she practiced for several years before moving to Melbourne in 2022. There, she continued in ECC for 1.5 years before transitioning to a general practice role at Williamstown.

In addition to her professional work, Madeleine enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hiking and visiting the beach. She’s an avid crossword puzzle solver and holds a purple belt in jiu-jitsu. She is also the proud owner of a crusty Shih Tzu named Yuri, who she describes as her “sweet angel.”

Alanna

Alanna has been vet nursing for 5 years and has worked a range of different jobs including in General Practice, Emergency and ECC as well as Specialty and referral. Joining the Greencross team in January 2024, she has found her love chat to clients and getting to know all our patients. She knew at a very young age she wanted to work with animals growing up and is now living that dream.

Alanna has 2 dogs – Ralph who is a 5-year-old Border Collie and Dexter who is a 2-year-old Dalmatian, as well as two fluffy cats Willow and Winnie, who she rescued as strays when they were 6 weeks old.

Giulia

Originally from Parma, Italy, Giulia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Parma in 2016. She began her vet nursing career in 2018 at her local clinic, before making the exciting move to Australia in 2022. Giulia joined the Greencross Williamstown team in 2023 and has been a wonderful addition ever since.

A passionate animal lover, she also works as a puppy trainer and is looking forward to continuing puppy school classes at Williamstown this year 🐶

At home, she’s kept company by her adorable ragdoll kitten, Lilith — while back in Italy, her beloved Frenchie and three cats hold a special place in her heart. Outside of work, Giulia enjoys reading, relaxing walks, and Pilates sessions. She’s also a big fan of gaming and LEGO building, and loves unwinding with good friends and home-cooked Italian food.

Tayla

Tayla has been part of the veterinary industry for four years, holding a Bachelor of Science with a major in Animal Science. Her passion lies in building strong relationships with both animals and their owners, creating a welcoming and supportive environment to ensure every visit is a positive one.
Before joining the Greencross team, Tayla gained valuable experience in orthopaedic and brachycephalic surgeries, as well as post-operative rehabilitation. Since stepping into the Practice Manager role a couple of years ago, she’s embraced the challenge and is thriving in her leadership journey.
When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find Tayla keeping active with boxing, heading out on a hike, or recharging with a strong coffee. Her loyal sidekick, Arlo — a cheeky 5-year-old mixed breed — is always close by, ready for the next adventure 🐶

Dr Wendy F

Associate Veterinarian

Dr Wendy graduated from Melbourne University in 2004. Since graduation she has worked at both the Hoppers Crossing and Werribee Greencross vet clinics but have primarily been at the Werribee clinic over the past decade.
Dr Wendy believes pets are family members and should be treated as such, therefore they should receive the best care available in all areas of their welfare whether it be their diet, preventative health plans, medical, surgical or psychological needs. She aims to achieve this everyday through her role as a veterinarian at Greencross Vets,

In her spare time when she is not looking after your non-human family members she am looking after her own and spending time with her family. Dr Wendy is pet parent to two whippets named Memphis and Willie, two cats named Whisker and Ziggy as well as four chickens. She also enjoy spending time bushwalking, fishing, kayaking and gardening.

Dr Jeff B

Dr Jeff has been at 58 Derrimut Road for almost two decades. He has been a dog and cat vet for a few more years than that, however, and still enjoys the interesting cases that find their way to our clinic. He keeps up to date with the latest techniques & treatments through conferences and web-based learning to ensure your pets are offered the very best care possible. He has been involved with the Australian Veterinary Association for many years and awarded the title of Fellow after his extensive voluntary work. Dr Jeff is owned by a hyperactive and demanding Jack Russell Terrier named Lily. In his spare time Jeff likes to cook and eat, maybe too much.
